In the last 16 hours on Mastodon I've seen a person who is an expert in cave insects, someone else who posts about moss/slime molds, and a STEM educator who takes a planetarium around remote towns in the US.
My first day on Mastodon. Feels a little scary to be on new social media. I've been on Insta a little and that's about it since I moved three years ago. Summer is here and all the irises have come and gone. They were planted before I moved here and this year for the first time white irises bloomed. It was such a sweet surprise. Attaching photos of some purple and white irises. #flowersOfMastodon#flowers#flora#homeBoundPhotography#pwME
I've come to the temporary conclusion that the problem with my cat not using the litter box is simply because she is too fucking lazy to walk downstairs.
I'm somcak, a #librarian currently in #Connecticut. I have 2 mini #dachshunds and 2 #cats. I enjoy all sorts of music, yes, even death metal on occasion! :bugcat_wiggle:
I've been on Mastodon since October, and this is my 3rd server. I finally found the folks I want to hang with!!
I use content warnings for all sorts of stuff, just trying to be considerate! I always make sure there's #AltText and #CamelCase for my own posts as well as those I boost. #Accessibility matters.
This week I look at the proposed NJ bill that would gut the state GILTI regime. Which, tldr, is yet another tax break for upper-crusters substantiated only by trickle down economics.
“If proposed bill SB 3737 becomes New Jersey law, that 50% permitted exclusion would be expanded to 95%—matching the exclusion rates of neighboring Connecticut and New York, and cutting by a factor of 10 the amount of income to which GILTI is applied.”
