Imgonnatrythis,

Really? Was your truth social account broken so you transitioned to Lemmy to try to minimize this historic event? The obvious difference was the tangible personal responsibility here. Not to divorce responsibility for all the other stuff, but I’m confident even you realize how complex it was to convict your precious Trump for things he personally did with a trail of direct evidence. Putting one person in jail for things like war crimes is a whole different level of grey and frankly there aren’t readily available systems built to deal consequences for this things like there are for personal fraud.

Imgonnatrythis,

Still way more economical than having a shop fix the AC in the car.

Google's "Manifest V2" Chrome extension phaseout next month is expected to impact the original uBlock Origin extension, which still uses the V2 framework and has 37 million users (www.theregister.com)

The new MV3 architecture reflects Google’s avowed desire to make browser extensions more performant, private, and secure. But the internet giant’s attempt to do so has been bitterly contested by makers of privacy-protecting and content-blocking extensions, who have argued that the Chocolate Factory’s new software...

Imgonnatrythis,

Tried using chromium based browser instead? You are not mainlined into Google that way. Vivaldi is absolutely great. It’s got way better baked in features than chrome which can reduce need for extensions and it has a strong commitment to pushing chromium as far as possible to be privacy conscious. Runs and syncs across Android and pc as well.

Imgonnatrythis,

Yes all chromium based browsers are chromium based. What do you mean by they are connected to Google? Yes Google provides the chromium code, but my Vivaldi browser isn’t connecting to Google servers or sending them anything

Imgonnatrythis,

What a great app! I remember for a little while you could interact directly with AOL IM. Had a superiority complex using icq while other poor dweebs were on AOL default IM app.

Imgonnatrythis,

I worry that modern recipe writers are on to us garlic doublers and are halving the amount of garlic their recipes call for. I always quadruple to be safe.

Imgonnatrythis,

This community likes to link to the most cancerous news sites.

Try this instead theverge.com/…/amazon-prime-air-delivery-drones-f…

Pretty exciting, I just wish it was someone other than Amazon doing it.

Imgonnatrythis,

Anyone can do hearts. Embrace your butt skills, run with this.

Imgonnatrythis,

If we are at the point where consumer grade plug is are better at these than humans, is the only reason these are still being used to give some slice of the population a false sense of security? Is it actually the users that want these?

Imgonnatrythis,

What about cars? Does Lemmy like cars now?

Google Cloud explains how it accidentally deleted a customer account (arstechnica.com)

Earlier this month, Google Cloud experienced one of its biggest blunders ever when UniSuper, a $135 billion Australian pension fund, had its Google Cloud account wiped out due to some kind of mistake on Google’s end. At the time, UniSuper indicated it had lost everything it had stored with Google, even its backups, and that...

Imgonnatrythis,

My thought exactly. I read the headline and thought that this probably happens to people fairly often, I can’t believe Google admitted to this… Oh wait there it is - that’s why. I have an old Google apps for your domain account. They switched it to an “apps for work account” then they switched it to “apps for business”. Then switched it to “G suite”. They then switched it to “Google workspace”. Each time they made changes in the infrastructure and that account is all whacked up. There’s lots of things including Google made things that just don’t work with it and features are late to arrive or never do when standard Google accounts are changed. I’m amazed they haven’t just accidentally deleted all my stuff in one of these change overs.

Imgonnatrythis,

Of course burnout is a real thing and most of us are increasingly overburdened. Most work just seems to suck more and more and the lines between personal life and work life keep blurring. Nonetheless, this AI use would happen with or without burnout - it’s just opportunism. Also, Who the hell is supposed to do this training the article refers to? Does your office already have an AI tsar that could train people on best use? I haven’t seen much of that yet.

Imgonnatrythis,

Man, I’m obsessed with that show like this AI is with this bridge. Hope a new season is coming soon!

Imgonnatrythis,

I do like that you can drop into the pool

Imgonnatrythis,

Really takes the sting right out of your raw asshole when they give you one of those coupons don’t it?

Imgonnatrythis,

Are we pretending to care about pedestrians now? The US has long held the attitude that it was their own damn fault for not being in a car. There are a multitude of established, studied, simple changes that could be made to make things safer for pedestrians with relatively little needed in the way of sacrifice from car designers if anyone felt pedestrians have a right to live.

Imgonnatrythis,

First and foremost look up the benefits of roundabouts. On the grand scheme of city planning and. Construction, these are low cost life savers for pedestrians and drivers - easy win.

Lower hoods, rounded edges (stares at cyber truck), and smart braking are some of the big design elements that already exist See iihs.org/…/new-ratings-address-pedestrian-crashesAs a good source.

Imgonnatrythis,

Extra bonus points if you bolt some super bright Led lights to said bar and shine them on people that look suspicious to you.

Imgonnatrythis,

They should target the windmills first. When I finish crying I like to have a good laugh about the quixotic irony of Republicans chasing after windmills. Once we’ve exhausted that meme we can move on to blacken the sky memes.

Imgonnatrythis,

Interesting. Know any reseller in US for Das filament?

Imgonnatrythis,

They don’t suck. A lot of death metal bands don’t suck but they just act a certain evil way. That’s cats for the most part. I did have one that would come up to me, roll over and want a belly rub like a dog, but that’s not the most typical experience.

copyrighted music for player piano?

Looking for more modern high quality files for a QRS player piano system. New to this, but it seems like midi files are the most likely to find since specialty qrs / player piano file formats seem nearly nonexistent on the internet. Having a hard time finding copyrighted more modern (most available internet midi files for piano...
