I think this is a Mollyhawk bird - but it's injured, lying at the bottom of Commercial Bay tower on Quay St, Auckland Central. Can anyone help rescue it?

@Rjdlandscapes Speed limits! I had a chat last night with a transport lawyer who thinks the current settings are stupid. I reminded him that many drivers need to be told the limits, because then you'd really see stupid. Imagine having agency about the speed you choose. Total carnage is what I imagine. He also doubted the 'speed kills' research. sigh.

Like 99% of the things that go viral on the mainstream internet are fake or staged or a lie or at least filtered and edited and when you point it out, it’s not that a healthy portion of people don’t know, it’s that truly nobody cares.

Does anyone know of an alternate co2 supplier to sodastream in New Zealand?

Preferably that I can swap my existing sodastream bottles with?

@benchaotica @jonoabroad OH bubbles gas bottles will fit. they do exchanges once you're set up. can highly recommend their hardware too, eg metal soda bottles in diff colours. the unit itself is also pretty groovy: compact and stylish

Lots of peeps have ear worms today. Apparently you get them because your brain is trying to complete the tune, and so keeps repeating the same snippets cos that's the bit it remembers. And apparenlty the way to fix it is to listen to the jolly thing all the way through, to allow your brain to get to the end. My earworm for the last fortinght has been Mozarts' Requiem. He died before he could finish it.

I'm being mansplained to on Facebook and it's the funniest thing ever. a guy is telling me how watches can't work without electricity, it's not possible even if they're wind up, that power needs to be stored in a battery. I'm trying to explain to him about springs, but he doesn't understand I'm dying 😂.
