Hamas says it has launched a rocket attack towards the Tel Aviv area in central Israel for the first time in nearly four months. At least eight rockets were launched from the Rafah area in southern Gaza and several were intercepted, the Israeli military says. No injuries have been reported.
You can’t just call everyone who disagrees with you a “Zionist”. We can read comments and your responses to them. That’s exactly what extremists, like Zionists, do.
It’s pretty simple. You don’t care about a particular grain of rice unless it’s special in some way (maybe something is drawn on it). Prices are always dependent on what people believe about the object. The “law” just defines the general parameters.
Also, there are many “exceptions” to the theory of gravity and apples do not always fall. Is an apple on a table falling? What about if you lift it? Oh my God, it’s doing the opposite of falling! How is that possible?!?
If there’s an emergency, just leave. There’s no way HR can approve a disciplinary action for leaving an unsafe work environment. Put all your money and stuff away and leave.
how can you know that when you wake up you’re still the same person that went to sleep last night?
Because you are composed of 99.99999% the exact same molecules. When you transport, you are literally ripped apart and recreated with new molecules at the destination site. That’s how the transporter works. Your bed does not work that way.
You might be wondering why this information isn’t public already. Republicans passed a law to keep this information private. Yes, they’re protecting the identity of criminals selling guns to cartels.
You can’t cut any taxes or programs to fund your idea. Nothing else in your government is going to change. It can’t be a tax that you avoid somehow. The money comes from you and similar people in your situation. Don’t try to get around it in some way....
George Floyd 100% did not deserve to die, and it wasn’t a tragic mistake that killed him. That’s why his death was so shocking.
As someone who used to deal with counterfeit currency, presenting a fake bill is not a crime. The average person has no idea whether a bill is counterfeit and cops definitely don’t. There was literally no reason for Derek Chauvin (and the others) to arrest him, let alone choke him to death.
That’s why people went nuts. He was killed for no other reason than being a black man. It’s as simple as that: some people are totally fine with killing black people because they don’t see them as human.

Pictures are actually a bad idea in many places. Many companies just throw out resumes with pictures because they can easily introduce bias against people who don’t look “good”, whatever that means in the local area.
HR is the first department to see the resumes and they will avoid lawsuits at all costs.
China has begun its second day of military drills targeting Taiwan, in what it says is punishment for “separatist acts” after the inauguration of its new president on Monday....
The ministry said China sent 19 warships around Taiwan’s perimeter, 16 marine police vessels and 49 warplanes, of which 35 crossed the median line, the de facto border between China and Taiwan.
Lol, that’s it? Taiwan is bigger in area than 9 US states and has 24 million people. It’s taken China more than 19 warships and 49 planes to conquer uninhibited islands.
The polls have shown Donald Trump with an edge for eight straight months, but there’s a sign his advantage might not be quite as stable as it looks: His lead is built on gains among voters who aren’t paying close attention to politics, who don’t follow traditional news and who don’t regularly vote....
Biden wins just three-quarters of Democratic-leaning voters who didn’t vote in the last cycle, even as almost all high-turnout Democratic-leaners continue to support him.
This trend illustrates the disconnect between Trump’s lead in the polls and Democratic victories in lower-turnout special elections. And it helps explain Trump’s gains among young and nonwhite voters, who tend to be among the least engaged.
Ok, so Trump is cornering the loudest people who shout their opinions at pollsters but don’t vote: basically morons. Makes sense to me.
Ignore these losers. When he is convicted, they will say “he won’t be sentenced to anything”. When he is sentenced they will say “it’s not long enough”.
This dude will probably be under home arrest with an ankle bracelet in two years. I’m only unsure of the ankle bracelet. I think the Secret Service can keep an eye on him.
Some American-made, precision-guided weapons supplied to Ukraine have proved ineffective on the battlefield, their accuracy badly diminished by Russian jamming efforts, according to Ukrainian commanders and a Ukrainian military research project....
This is excellent stress testing for NATO weapons. It sucks for the Ukrainians that they have to be the testing ground, but it’s better than wargames to iron out the kinks.
Carbon markets have recently begun expanding into oceans. Since whales’ bodies temporarily absorb carbon dioxide, the International Monetary Fund … contends that whales can generate carbon credits and are “Nature’s solutions to climate change.”
Interesting idea. I would say that the problem isn’t counting whales in this. The carbon credits are probably too cheap, and who is getting the money? If each whale generated a billion dollars a year for a tribe, I’m sure they would have less of a problem with it.
Wouldn’t this encourage supporting the whale population? Isn’t this generally a good thing? How does this hurt the whale?
Two weeks into the offensive, one group of Russian forces is already fighting in the streets of the town of Vovchansk about 70 kilometers away from the city of Kharkiv, while the other is trying to push toward the town of Lyptsi, just under two dozen kilometers away from the city....
But Emil Kastehelmi of the Finnish Black Bird Group said that in Lyptsi, Ukrainians “used depth to their advantage. They pulled out from the most difficult border villages, and are now defending in places where they can better use the terrain.”
“Ukraine has been able to significantly reduce the speed of the attack, and Russia hasn’t been able to gain more than a few fields after their initial success,” he said.
I guess Russia will have to learn the hard way why Ukraine defeated Napoleon and Hitler. You expend valuable troops and supplies and all you have to show for it is some fields in Ukraine. And sanctions too.
They went from a three day operation taking the whole country, to “well maybe we’ll camp out in a field a few miles from the border”. You can’t defeat Ukraine, because they won’t give up. It’s literally throwing money and lives away.
