LifeInMultipleChoice,

There is 10 more or so according to an article I remember seeing an article on here the other day. I didn’t verify anything about it though.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

No need to be, but this is a bad example because if the company can prove you were wreckless intentionally, they have an easy court case and someone now liable for all damages

LifeInMultipleChoice,

To be fair I think he only paid $14 billion. The rest came from other investors like Saudia Arabia

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Throw in Jurassic Park and some jet engines and we’ve got Ark

Businesses use VPN’s/ proxies like crazy for security. I am curious to know how they bypass that

Florida deputies who fatally shot US airman burst into wrong apartment, attorney says (apnews.com)

Deputies responding to a disturbance call at a Florida apartment complex burst into the wrong unit and fatally shot a Black U.S. Air Force airman who was home alone when they saw he was armed with a gun, an attorney for the man’s family said Wednesday....

LifeInMultipleChoice,

If this man gunned them down as they came in, it would have been covered by his rights as his life was endangered. It would never go that way on court. That’s when things will change though, when people start killing armed people on their property under their castle/stand your ground laws. If 30 cops in a small enough area suddenly get themselves killed they will use their union to fight for disarming civilians and taking away the 2nd amendment rights/self defense laws, or the judges will stop signing warrants once they start getting sued/disbarred for allowing the cops to enter a dangerous situation they shouldn’t have. Punish the police and the judges, and change might occur. So… never

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Admittance, acting like their will be action. Not good, but maybe a start. One must have hope

LifeInMultipleChoice,

I eat meat daily, who thought grocery stores cared about the environment when trying to sell meat at “low costs” and advertising it as much as possible. If they sell beef, they are a big chunk of the beef.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

If you fly spirit, it still might be cheaper

LifeInMultipleChoice,

4 pepperoni, 1 sausage, 1 cheese is $40.94 here (subtotal) if you pick it up. That’s Little Caesars though, so… The pickier you are, the higher the cost. People who pay $25 for a pizza usually chose to buy something nice and or paid delivery and 5 other fees.

After Raids, NYPD Denied Student Protesters Water and Food in Jail (theintercept.com)

Students arrested during the police crackdown on protests at universities in New York City last week were denied water and food for 16 hours, according to two faculty members at Columbia University’s Barnard College who collected reports from students who were inside....

LifeInMultipleChoice,

These aren’t facts. It is fact that I was kept from a phone call when arrested recently. That would prove everything you are saying is just utter bullshit. It was 16 hours before they even booked me. They simply “forgot.” It wasn’t busy. They ordered pizzas and sat around and chatted. You speak like an authority on something you clearly don’t know about. Time I was supposed to be held, 4 hours. Amount it would cost to sue or charge them for breaking laws/regulations, far more than I could ever afford. The only advice I keep getting is to plead guilty to something I didn’t do.
Keep spewing what you want to believe is how things work, it won’t make it real though.

Hopes of Gaza ceasefire rise as Hamas delegation arrives in Cairo (www.theguardian.com)

Egyptian and US mediators have reported signs of compromise in recent days and Egyptian state news channel Al-Qahera said on Saturday that a consensus had been reached in the indirect talks over many of the disputed points but gave no further details. However, many analysts remain pessimistic after five months of stop-start...

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Don’t forget in March when the cease fire was proposed and China and Russia vetoed it. It isn’t as simple as the U.S. being the only outside group at fault for the UN not stepping in.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Points for making my lady laugh Don’t let them know I snorted she said, as she slapped my arm

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Strange question maybe, but what percent of Lemmy is young enough to have a teacher? I’m the old man now (34). Seems like college was yesterday

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Stop being a rapist and you will be fine. We believe every person starts equal, if you do not. Fuck off and find yourself at home in a place like the taliban

LifeInMultipleChoice, (edited )

Could anyone in Florida not sue the state for obstruction of the free market and access to food items do to political agendas? Seems like a violation of rights beyond the first. Shit even saying it is against your religion, which would hold if you place science as reasoning for your choices… I seem to remember a religious group Desantis wants out of Florida and tried to refuse to recognize because of it.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Likely the TPM chip. It is required for Windows Hello, Bitlocker, and a few other things to enhance security. Works much like a RSA token, if the code from the chip doesn’t match the code on the hard drive it assumes tampering and will lock entry. The encrypted drive (Bitlocker) or the OS will require the Bitlocker recovery key to boot the OS (Decrypt the drive) and the password instead of the Face ID/ PIN/fingerprint you used to make access quicker. Most devices didn’t have TPM 2.0 till recently, which is the version used by Windows 11 I believe.

If you don’t encrypt said drive or attach the Microsoft accounts as they recommend anyone can grab the drive, reset the account password or just pull all your files from the drive from another OS. It’s all forced security because the views/legal responsibility keeps looking at the companies to produce the products and blaming them for not securing their users instead of the users securing themselves.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

They are voted in off lies and media spins. My mother is a stark supporter of Desantis and over and over again stated that abortion bans were just supposed to be up to the states and Florida wasn’t going to change theirs. That it is just liberal media making it up. There won’t be any wake up calls for them, they will be spun on the next bs that’s thrown up into their lap

LifeInMultipleChoice,

And if rescheduled ironically when someone makes moonshine wrong and poisons themselves, a doctor could prescribe liquor to solve it.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

“a fertilized egg is a person”… Hm, so a salmon lays thousands of eggs and the male just mass fertilizes last I knew. I doubt the season matters much when they are kept in controlled environments. Wouldn’t they breed year round as their birth place is there home? If so. Jump that number up by a lot. If someone murders a pregnant mother the judge doesn’t say, well there is a x% chance it doesn’t make it to adulthood.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Called an Uber Friday night. Dude was much more drunk than I was. I ended up having him crash on my couch.

Trump Lawyer Makes Disturbing Immunity Claim Before Supreme Court: Apparently, John Sauer thinks staging a coup should be considered a presidential act (newrepublic.com)

Donald Trump’s lawyer pushed an outrageous line of thinking on Thursday during oral arguments at the Supreme Court over whether the former president has immunity for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election: that a U.S. president could order a military coup d’état with almost no chance of repercussions....
