The Larch Peds are getting a test drive today. Wish them luck! @knitting

Inside daytime. Natural light. Same pair of socks now on a person's feet.

I lifted the grapevine & brought it with us last autumn. It lived. @gardening

So 5:45 pm & our guest is still here. Pretty certain this is the male who's been visiting, unlucky in love - the female won't give him the time of day.

When I checked earlier, he was breathing deeply & had his head resting on the side, definitely asleep. I think, since I brought the film crew this time, we woke him up. @gardening

Outside, daytime. Camera focused from above on me lifting the lid off the hedgehog feeder to show the hedgehog curled up inside.

11:30 am & the hedgehog is still in the feeder. Has he moved in? @gardening

Didn't expect that when I went to tidy the feeding station this morning. Hog's usually gone before 5am. This was around 6:45. Left it alone for now but will have another peak later in the avoe. @gardening

Colour in the geranium buds. Hope these survive the magpies who ate the buds on another geranium before it could open. @gardening

A little gift from one of the wild things roaming our garden. No other rowans on the street, so quite pleased it's moved here. @gardening

Ah, here you are again, Monday. You're lucky these 'uns showed up with you. Just when I think I love one layer of spring blooming the best, the next one comes along. @gardening

Outside, daytime. Close up of the forget-me-nots. Set in gravel, they have medium green, soft looking leaves with tiny, 5 petal blue flowers that have white bits in a star shape in the middle with yellow in the exact middle.

So here I sit, smug in the knowledge that by Larch Peds sock #3, I've mastered the tricky Lola's Pickup Line gusset method.

Then I notice I'm knitting on the wrong needle. What a marooooooooon. @knitting

(The longer, green needle with the new stitches on it is connected to the pickup line & definitely not the one I should be knitting onto. The needle I should be using is the other green one just under the stitch counter.)

The fig tree's back! Hope to get figs this year. Last year's drought knocked it for a loop. But hey, that's some gorgeous foliage it's got going there, so it's nice to have around even w/o the fruit.

The self seeded columbine has a bud. Looks like it's going to be a light colour. I do hope so, altho I won't kick over a purple one. @gardening

Finished 1st adjustments sock. Love all her hints except toe grafting. W/o a silicon cord, the Kitchener's much faster. May try w/scrap yarn for the 2nd sock.

Side by side w/first try. I went down both a needle & pattern size, plus used the same yarn for entire sock. I do like a thicker yarn for ribbings, heels, & toes, but you can see in this pattern, a thicker yarn lining distorts the cuff.

Will knit this designer again. Definitely will do more Larch Peds.

@knitting

Inside daytime, natural light. The sock now sits on the pillow to the right of my first try at this pattern. The first sock is larger & as said in the message, the cuff is a bit widened by using a thicker yarn on the inside. The yarn on this sock follows the same colour pattern.

I was going to wait until this sock was done before posting yet another photo of it, but I really love this yarn. Larch Peds socks. @knitting

Another pot of chaos. This one has a loropetalum spilling out the front with columbine to the right, wild geranium in the back & you can just see the hops vine creeping up the trellis. Again, another pot things were jammed into to facilitate our move last autumn. @gardening
