Free Idea: You get one page on your website to list all the stuff you donโ€™t like (react, tailwind, capitalism, whatever) and then the rest of the site can be about stuff you do like (birds, music, books, whatever). So whenever youโ€™re writing a post and start edgelordโ€™ing towards a rehashing of the stuff you donโ€™t like, you can say โ€œoh I already wrote about that!โ€

Critique is clearly a difficult skill to learn, I think.
Also objectivity is usually more helpful than flames โ€ฆbut flames perhaps get more attention?
I am horrible at all of this. And so, perhaps our posts are how we learn to navigate writing and โ€œprocessโ€ the world at large.

Are you a man who works in tech, writing code for a living? Do you work with women who do the same? Then you absolutely are at high risk of always assuming their code isnโ€™t good enoughโ€ฆ that you know more than they do, even when itโ€™s their area of experience, even when they have years more experience than you do. Unless you are working to explicitly remove the sexism assumptions our society has drilled into you, you are also being sexist. Thatโ€™s how culture works.

Please stop. Be introspective.

Itโ€™s plastic.
Polyurethane and poly vinyl chloride (pvc).

Plant- and mineral-derived materials are better.

Research claiming that plastics are better than natural materials are sus.

In the process of purchasing a new 24" M1 iMac for my dad, who turns 89 this year. This will replace his current 2011 21.5" Core i5 iMac, which replaced his 2006 20" Core 2 Duo iMac, which replaced his original 2000 Indigo iMac that we bought him for his 65th birthday.
