So, diode.zone is asking people to look for other peertube homes ... Can anyone recommend a well-moderated, queer-friendly instance for my somewhat rarely published video content?

I have one music video so far that I'd like to keep on the web, and possibly some other music-related stuff to come, probably mostly music videos.

I got home around 1 am after last night's performance and saw that someone had put a desk/table with nice metal legs and an oak top out on the street.

I've been needing a new desk, so I dragged it home.

I went out and looked at it this morning and the top is not oak. It is bamboo. It's bamboo stamped with a fake oak wood grain pattern. lol. I'll still use it though.

Helping @fredy tame a misbehaving rotary encoder that serves as the volume knob on Fiorella the Fit

@fredy the problem, which is a problem on my Honda and my dad's Honda as well, is that the volume level jumps around wildly as you turn the volume knob.

It will go from 4 to 20 to 12 to 30 to zero instead of smoothly changing. I've been avoiding dealing with it on my car for years but I figured that there must be some kind of dirt inside of a rotary encoder.

I was not expecting an Alps Alpine hollow shaft rotary encoder. I also was not expecting it to be a simple matter of the grease inside of it being filthy. I didn't have any dielectric grease, so I just cleaned the grease out and put the encoder back together and it works fine.

Now I need to do this on my own car.

Yesterday I gave @fredy a shelving unit that was in my backyard and upon inspection, we noticed that there was a little smashed egg crusted onto the top shelf.

I had no idea how that had gotten there, so I went looking in my back yard this morning and found the source
