@AE4WX I had one CW 20m QSO at 1336 UTC. The last 40 minutes only one FT8 station received on 20 meters. I'm running a 20 QCX mini WSPR station just to collect data.

@angrysmiley Hello Mike, I'm heading out tomorrow morning for a POTA activation using CW, FT8 and some WSPR work. Geomagnetic Storm? Experimentation is the foundation of which Amateur Radio was built.

@G0TRT Oh it was easy. I got 10 for a valid activation in 12 minutes with CW. Switched over to FT8 after about 20 CW QSOs and got close to 100 FT8 QSOs.

It was a double barrel of fun during today's activation. pileup was so intense I had to stand of a bit. Even got in a little . Thanks Todd @KE2AEQ for hunting me today. Great to get you in my logbook.

@N0ZB Thanks Scott, I've never been one to stay in side the rails. Rarely afraid to try something different. Glad to hear your neck of the woods were spared any major storm damage. Forecast here projected for 3 -5" of rain, with hail, lighting, 60+ straight line winds and threat of spin up. tornado. Giddy Uo!

Just worked a guy on 30m whose QRZ page says:

"The picture at the top right of my QRZ page is of an ancient Greek vase. It depicts Zeus throwing a thunderbolt. Depictions of Zeus often show him throwing thunderbolts. Certainly our understanding of radio waves and radio propagation has changed remarkably from ancient times. May the 4th was with me. The FORCE was strong with this one as the bands were awful again as expected with approaching storms. Hot, muggy and steamy weather on Kentucky Derby Day in Louisville, KY.

@kb6nu Dan I saw you also just before breaking down. I listened on your frequency for 10 minutes and never hear a whisper. RBN kept updating your CQ calls so I knew you were there, but your signal was just going over my head. RBN showed my 20 meter signals were going long into Central America and western Canada.

@N4JAW I see you out there in the POTA spots. I'm at US-6833 and US-8313 on 20 meter FT8 right now, but might switch to CW. (Somehow the noise from CW doesn't feel right at a Civil War battlefield...)

I have been calling all week in different occasions on 14.107.5 but no success. Is everyone away or propagation sucks these days?

@alper They were out there, except the QSB was horrific. Several times during a QSO stations would come in strong on my frequency I had my IF filter set as low as it would go and still got stations on my frequency
