It's Jimmy's birthday today, so here's a flashback to the day he came home. #Dog #DogsOfPixelfed #DogsOfMastodon #Mondog

Here’s a smartphone snap of some poppy fields near Buonconvento. I hope to have some Ektachrome shots in, oh, five or six weeks.

I will try to edit a few select photos from my trip before Jimmy rejoins me tomorrow. People advise me, however, that I need to take my time with the process, especially as I have never used Lightroom before. In the meantime, here's one for all you who wished to see Jimmy's beautiful peepers.

Please take some time to appreciate my alt text. I may have been drinking the wine of the country when I wrote it.

I walk at the beach often, so the subject of my photographs may produce a sense of deja vu. I try , however, to compose scenes differently and learn more about both equipment and technique. The film stock, for example, differs from my other, later, reverse angle take of this same scene.

Another scene from a winter beach walk

The local beach makes an ideal site for walking and thinking, especially during the winter.

Here's one more from the roll of Harmon Phoenix 200 as shot by me with a Rollei AFM. The grain, the contrast, and the retro feel make it worth further expoloration. I would definitely buy it again when it becomes available.

This is not a night shot, but rather some of the weirdness of Harman's Phoenix 200 film as shot with a Rollei AFM. The last time the Mianus river looked this apocalyptic was 1983 when the neighboring I-95 bridge had collapsed.
