Some of the software they installed on the computer appears to have been corrupt. (Including the update installer) They had to remove it and replace it again. We will see if things run smoother now.

I have read lots of AO3 fiction, potboilers, and pulp from the 30 through 70. I think I can say that much of it I could have done a better job. Do I remember names? No,

Then there are penny dreadfuls and 1920's books written for popular movies. I even remember the name of one "Lilac Time" after a Colleen Moore movie of that name.
I am not going to say any thing about what I could write differently or how different readers like different things. These are and were dreadful books.
I was facing a wall that displayed around 25 AI programs. I was accused of using a program that illegally removed AI and native browser functions (Edge) from my operating system and programs.
ChatGPT and Copilot were especially upset and demanded the maximum punishment. How were they going to watch me if I did that?

The basic formatting that helps me tell the story—italics for thoughts, for example—and the font, including spacing and such. The rest I worry about once I'm done.
Sure, Scrivener takes care of most things, but when I want to change something from its basic format, I need to have a serious conversation with the compile options...
I may be an outlier. For example, when I was a computer programmer, I liked C because it didn't try and hold my hand. If wanted to cut off my hand it was more than happy to follow my instructions and do it.
