8. What behaviors does your characters' society discourage?

Making problems for others. Standing out.

I have a bit of trouble with these generalized questions about socioty. Since my stories are set with the back drop of a real socioty, the questions feel very reductive.

I still buy some physicl manga. I do perfer it, but have no room to store it and there is so much. I am mainly finishing series I started before I went to emanga. Photo of this summers physical purchases, include She is So Cheeky For a Commoner and the next volume of My Job is Yuri, as well as two volumes of Whisper me a Love Song.

I fought going digital. Like a lot of older readers I like the feel of a real book and enjoy seeing them all neatly lined up. Boxing up my CDs is next. I mainly listen to music now that is only available streamed. I could rip them to CD but there always seems to be more these days. Now most of my physical purchases are plushies, cheki, and bromides. One of the idols I follows hand decorates cheki an bromide albums. So they are a real treat to look through and enjoy what you have. I just had to order a second album for Hima cheki.

307 — Does your MC have next-door neighbors? Who are they?

Tomo and Ume have neighbors. What we know about them is they don't bother Ume and Tomo. The couple believe they are looked down upon by them. But since the former is true they don't care much about the later.

They should because the onryo might enlist the neighbors help. That is what happens in the Peony Lantern, which inspire my book.

Shiro and family live in an appartment, so they must have neighbors. But we know zip about them.

They claim that a translator is going to do a double check, but at that speed that they promise, very sus.

I guess things are looking up.

  • Both backup machines are up and running and I can write, edit, and reach the internet on them.

  • I have a publication streak of 40 weeks currently on PIXIV

  • The cap to my second thermos, the GochiUsa one, has reappeared. I was worried.

  • If I get one more follower I will have one for each day of the year. Drat leap year.

  • And the sun is out.

#WritersCoffeeClub #wRITING 6 May: Have you ever copied a piece from another book or movie as an homage?

I have written a lot of fanfiction. That seldom includes actual quotes though. The most extensive use of quotes has been from "Regarding Saeki Sayaka," and Lovecraft. In one chapter of my first book, I used extensive description, properly footnoted, from "The Mountains of Madness."
