I couldn’t order for pickup with Wolt so I went to the McDo to buy our dinner in person. There I found out that the exact same order was €5 cheaper.

Add €3,50 delivery costs and tip and the savings get quite significant (30% or so).

@alper I've noticed quite a few restaurants have higher prices on the apps, maybe a euro or so per item. I mostly pick-up but love the convenience of not ordering on the phone. I wonder what cut the apps take.

There are more and more people in Germany who are willing to vote for the , a super right-wing party. In Germany, out of all places. In some states, they would be the biggest party if there was a vote now. This worries me A LOT. And the CDU and FDP together with the Bild tabloid are basically putting more fuel into that fire.

This Monday is a rather bleak one.

The dominant position is "why should I do labour for the supermarket".

They arrived at my local supermarket a few weeks ago and now I don't worry about timing it right to avoid the queues.

As usual, it's mostly a dislike of change and in 20 years we'll catch up.

Apparently no department in Germany can activate the Online-Ausweisfunktion??

How is germany this terrible at digitisation & letting people use government services?

@thisismissem I'm guessing you didn't get a letter with the transport PIN to use with the Ausweis2 app for unlocking.
I activated mine just out of interest but there's almost no services that work with it, the official list is laughable.

@Vivaldi thanks for the info! I tested on a blank user profile and you're right, it behaved as expected. I use PWA windows a lot (such an underrated feature!) with my base profile and have a few exts (though nothing that would obviously interfere).
