I’ve been using sync for a while and occasionally I go looking in the settings for the feature to hide read posts automatically, instead of having to do it manually. Other Lemmy clients have this so I was convinced sync should probably have it as well, I just can’t find it. Does this exist? If not, is it something that could...
I have wanted to go on a road trip for a while, just driving off to nearby towns in my hatchback and exploring. I’d start small, like a day or three. The main thing holding me back is uncertainty of what to bring and how to do it, amongst other issues. I think I can figure out the food and sleep, but I was wondering:...
I have stuff I’d like to post, but I can’t find the appropriate community to post to. So is there like a “hey I have no clue where to post this” type of community where the general lemmy public could point you in the right direction?...
With so much note taking apps nowadays, I can’t understand why does anyone still write notes with pen and paper. You need to bring the notepad, book or that paper to retrieve that information, and most of the time you don’t have it in hand. While my phone almost always reachable and you carry when you go out. I have an account there and the only downsides are image uploads are limited to 100kb.
I also sometimes have an episode where it doesn’t communicate as quickly with other instances as another instance would. Example: I posted something from my lemm.ee account to a lemmy.world community earlier today and it took several hours to upload there. (When viewing from the .world or SJW instances, my lemm.ee post wasn’t there for several hours). I have had this issue before with different instances but the posts/comments eventually find their way to the right place.
Otherwise, it’s a solid instance with great uptime. Updated with new releases quickly. The owner takes a very active role in maintaining a secure and reliable server. It is federated with a high majority of instances (including beehaw.org) Of all the instances I tried out through the last few months, it is one of my top picks.

Not an answer to your question, but wanted to share the other positive news/communities that you may have interest in. Activity on each are also a bit sparse but not inactive.
How do you sort your posts in subscribed communities? I’ve been sorting by active, but I keep seeing older stuff that I’ve already seen. Is there a better way to sort?
In the main frontpage sort by hot or by top of day. In individual communities, sort by new by default but depending on how many days I’ve been away, I may sort by hot or top of day/week. On communities I mod, I switched between new and new comments to make sure I don’t miss anything. Would be cool to have a controversial option.
