I'm Owen Tyme and I'm a novelist.

I prefer to write action-filled science fantasy, though I sometimes write fantasy or science fiction, when the inspiration takes me there. I love grounding what I write in science, even when writing about dragons, witches and wizards.

Though I currently call Liberal, Kansas home, I was born in the California Bay Area. I've come to enjoy the mild climate of Kansas. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

@nixCraft Uh, I do believe that's a mysterious and amazing thing known as "Human Nature".

Among other things, Human Nature includes the ability to be totally oblivious to one's own faults, but hyper-sensitive to the faults of others, even if we're guilty of the same thing we're pointing out, which we often are.

And to make my point even more clear, this can be summed up as: "This is your fault, not mine!" It's just the classic blaming behavior that's common to all Homo Sapiens.

@nixCraft I'm a Java programmer that loves open source. To me, C# is a horrible abomination that was introduced by one of the most evil companies in the world, as another attempt to kill Java, after Microsoft got caught trying to Embrace, Extend and Extinguish it.

@nixCraft It isn't much different for novelists. I suspect there's a great many professions that do the same.

However, I can't help but apply the logic to con artists. The metronome may have settled in the middle, without swinging at all, because they're thinking: "I am an amazing fraud!"
