I haven’t edited a wiki page, so maybe I’m missing something. Isn’t that an accurate statement? Until yesterday we didn’t know the verdict, and we still need the sentencing. Both of those absolutely should be added to the page once result are known. Hence why information would/will change.
They’ve locked the article, and it still states the ‘criminal status’.
Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday moved to liquidate his personal assets, agreeing to demands from the families of Sandy Hook victims whom he owes more than $1.5 billion in damages over his lies about the 2012 school massacre....
I’ve only willingly listened to him talk a couple of times (YouTube shorts where his head is on a space Marine from 40k) and I get what you mean. One hopes that this can dissuade some of his more ‘moderate’ listeners, but I do worry about the unhinged majority.
Hard pass on Daniel Tosh. Didn’t really like his ‘bro’ humor to begin with - and then he joked about how funny it’d be if a woman in his audience got raped after she heckled him. Same as I wouldn’t like Jimmy Carr as a long term host. He’s great on cats and such, but that’s not the tone I’d like for taskmaster. Mulaney might be good, but I don’t know how he handles improv also might just be a bit too much of a personality. If Craig Ferguson in still in the states I think he’d be good as well.
I was asking what Davis said on that level. Saying a woman should be raped is a statement towards a large demographic.
Davis is also an actor, and is playing a roll. He makes awful statements on Alex Horne’s behalf, but we know it’s in jest.
I was raised on British comedy - satire in particular. Tosh’s retort wasn’t satire. I don’t know why you’re being such a simp for a guy who went out of fashion ages ago.
To put into context; Microsoft bought Activision/Blizzard for 69 Billion dollars. A huge portion of that was actually King.
Around 2014, over 93 million people were playing Candy Crush Saga, while revenue over a three-month period as reported by King was over $493 million. Five years after its release on mobile, the Candy Crush Saga series has received over 2.7 billion downloads, and the game has been one of the highest-grossing and most-played mobile apps in that time frame. As of September 2023, it had reached over $20 billion in revenue.
Safe to say mobile market makes a lot more money we’d be comfortable with.
I shared my arcade membership with my mom a while ago (I had gotten it included) and it put her purchases on my card. This bio-chemist (very smart lady in some specific subjects) spent over $25 on ‘micro’ transactions in a week or so. They prey on the group that just want to get things done.
Wasn’t the new CEO just talking about how they were counting on PC players to go out and buy the console for sequels? I’m over here still waiting for Spider-Man 2, no intention of buying a console again.
B5; welcome aboard our five mile long rotating tin can. We’ll over through our government, electrocute angels, and figure out who Jack the Ripper was. Also included in your stay is a quarantine that wipes out an entire species. Be sure to check out the zocalo for your fresh orange fix!
Those people are just clarifying headlines that give no idea how long the plane was in service. If they’ve been in service for over a decade it stands to reason that the maintenance on the plane might have been faulty. OFC Boeing should be investigated due to the door plug blow-out, and have previously demonstrated their willingness to cut corners with the Max debacle. That doesn’t mean every incident is their direct fault, and Airbus can suffer similar incidents but not be reported on.
I was responding to someone who specifically brought up the crashes…
It’s gotta be the same trolls that visit every Boeing thread claiming accidents are the fault of the airport not the manufacturer. They are fucking relentless.
…oh no. I’ve listened to him for ages. And due to a shitty shuffle I ended up with high listening hours. I remember his first handle and just told myself it was regarding the slang for cigarette. I’ll be going down this rabbit hole, thanks for the heads up …oh no
I’ll be a minority voice considering the other comments. But maybe just pay for onlyfans or whatever you guys use. I’m a generally attractive woman (I can surmise from interactions while trying to date) and I really don’t like the idea that my likeness would be used for something like this. Get your jollies off, but try and be a bit consensual about it. Is that so much to ask?
I’m a huge fan of Bill Bryson! He has a couple books about linguistics (The Mother Tongue and Made in America) that were personal favorites of mine. His nearly 600 page work ‘A Short History of Nearly Everything’ was also a very easy read.
In a similar vein ‘Unruly’ by David Mitchell has been a fun read so far!
Also a special shout out to ‘Pillars of the Earth’ by Ken Follett; it’s historical fiction but ignited my love of architecture.
It has already been removed again

If it’s cheap to get stars, I’m definitely having Dolph Lundgren at my next birthday party. Dude doesn’t have to do anything, just hang out.
