So. I have gone through a variety of surgeries in my life, both for gender affirming and non-gender affirming care.

Recently a local friend got told they need surgery. First time in their life. Needless to say they are a bit nervous, so I told them I would write a few notes down.

I may have gone overboard. 😮​

I figured I would share the current product here, since many of you are looking at medical procedures.

    Today we are holding a belated birthday party for our child.

    My wife’s parents are coming.

    This is the first time we will see them in person since I started my transition 3 years ago (they know since the start of my journey)

    I have two forces within me.

    One swirling force is that of a corporate queer, absorbing all of the hatred and cis-heteronormativity and trying to educate them while working 9 hours a day in charge of other employees on top of regular work.

    The other force just wants large boobs, lounge around at home or with other queer folks, sipping mimosas and being social and happy (maybe a job coordinating meetups).

    Four years ago, and about six months before I hatched, I finally managed to choke the word "bimbo" out of my mouth at a therapy appointment, after something like two years of trying.

    Overwhelmed with shame does not begin to describe how I'd always felt about my attraction to the whole galaxy of that idea.

    Even afterwards, it was something I held close, tender, something I felt profound shame over. It felt so misogynistic; I was terrified women of all types would cast me out over it.

    We're fighting a boss in D&D in our all-queer, no-guys campaign and the boss we're currently fighting is a beefy carnival strong woman.

    Who flexed mightily to show off her sculpted muscles

    And my wife, also playing a strong woman, fainted from sheer sapphic thirst.

    At a convention center currently at an event for my child.

    This is the same one that I’ve been to before for HRC yearly dinner / gala (I get invited by my job due to some of the LGBTQ+ work I do at the office). I am standing in the same room where the gala took place last year.

    During the galas, the bathrooms are proudly listed as gender neutral (one set with a sign saying with urinals, another without).

    Now, at this event (dinosaur exhibit), all bathrooms are gendered “ladies” and “gentlemen”.

    Guess we only get gender neutral bathrooms when the queers pay for them here 😔. Wonder what the cost is to have gender neutral bathrooms added to an event contract.

    Part of me felt when I decided to do this that I had to hide it. That I should be ashamed. That I needed to wait until it was done for the grand reveal and just hope I would be accepted.
