    So I went to gencon once upon a time, and Marie-Claude Bourbonnais was cosplaying the whole weekend and made me FEEL THINGS I couldn't understand. Eventually, after much prodding, my wife got me to go up to her and get a picture of the two of us (I am, for clarity, on the right).

    @Impossible_PhD this reminds me I need to give a “thank you” to the lady at a local anime convention who dressed as Yoko from Gurren Lagann in Rochester April.

    So much confusion then at the time.

    There is a reason after my BA I sent some friends a text saying “wha-cha, boobs!”.

    I need a new post-surgery phrase in June 🤔

    I've been sitting on this all day.

    My therapist took a vacation last week, and on the plane she happened to sit next to a trio of transfems. Apparently, they got to talking, and she offhandedly mentioned SGW.

    And apparently all three of the transfems read it regularly.

    When she told me, it just left me flabbergasted. It just seems so surreal for that sorts thing to happen, for people to be talking about my writing like that.

    It's only fully hitting me now that Torrey Peters showed up to a room full of scholars and literary nerds who expected the next Detransition, Baby....and she gave us sexy lumberjack fanfiction.

    A question for women of fedi!

    I’m working with an organization of professional women who want our trans sisters to know they will be welcome and accepted in the group.

    What’s the best way to do this in our media when having events, etc?

    Because my brain goes “trans women are women, of course they’re welcome!” but I know that isn’t always the case and want to allay any concerns folks might have about joining.

    Are there ways you’ve found to indicate while not othering?

    Today is an interesting day.

    I am leading a internal trans 101 corporate training at my workplace. 😳 🤯

    First time doing any type of training like this. So a bit nervous, however I had a PERFECT estrogen shot this morning (taking estrogen right before training, lol), so I’m taking that as a good sign 😊

    Would not say no to some luck today 😇

    I’ve been thinking about dysphoria lately.

    When I first came out, my wife gave me a lot of her clothes she no longer wore. Dresses, skirts, woman jeans, fancy blouses, those I got hooked to instantly.

    However fitted tshirts, those triggered such intense dysphoria.

    There were so many cute ones I kept them in a drawer.

    The other day I went through my clothes. Some things don’t fit at all. However, fitted woman tshirts don’t trigger dysphoria now.

    Now they trigger euphoria!
