I tried kagi and wasn’t impressed. For all but one or two queries the results were exactly the same as ddg. Not to mention they had that stupid metric stating 78%+ unique kagi results for every search, even though that was blatantly untrue. They seem pretty dishonest as a company.
Linux has made significant strides, and in 2023, it’s better than ever. However, there are still individuals perpetuating a delusion: that desktop Linux is as user-friendly and productive as its mainstream counterparts. After a few discussions on Lemmy, I believe it’s important to provide a clear review of where Linux falls...
It’s a good option for people who don’t want to maintain a pc or want their game installs and updates to be instantaneous. You can play anywhere you have decent wifi so it’s kind of like having both a steam deck and a desktop pc, and probably cheaper than maintaining and upgrading both
They can’t, even suggesting they’d think of making such a move would’ve ruined them. No one in their right mind would do business with a company that’s willing to even entertain retroactive changes to payment structure. Just an insane risk to take.
If your cloud provider decides to screw you you’re gonna have to put physical infrastructure together no matter what license their software is distributed under.
I often daydream about how society would be if we were not forced by society to pigeon hole ourselves into a specialized career for maximizing the profits of capitalists, and sell most of our time for it....
That would then mean we would have to support the entire food supply on hunting rather than farming for this to be true, so basically 90% of the population would have to die
He basically is, he states that I hunter gathering societies that much less work was done, but significantly more in farming societies as a response to another poster saying specialization and careers are a significant contributor to the free time we do have. If he’s not suggesting a hunting society is better I don’t know what the point of his comment is.
So I met this girl by chance and we really hit it off, once I learned of her age I decided to just be friends as I think that 19 to 25 is an age were we mature a lot and I remember myself as a 19yo and I was not mature enough to be a good partner and to be good to myself....
Plus in any relationship there are wants and needs being met by the relationship that would be withdrawn if the relationship were to end. Mutual benefit is why you get into a long term relationship in the first place.
Yeah I’d really have a hard time dating someone who is likely still living with their parents if I’d been on my own a year or two. I wouldn’t consider making the relationship serious until I knew they could stand on their own feet.
I really like this project, but it’d need to be at least as ubiquitous as python for me to put serious effort into learning it. This is what bash will always have on these experimental shells unfortunately.

As long as you have a master password it’s basically the same as a password manager, Bitwarden is more convenient because it works across apps on your phone.
I’ve been getting around this by being really free with the community block button. But I’ve also had decent luck finding alts of the communities I used to use on reddit
