sitting here wondering if i've ever actually fully completed any final fantasy game and uhh

... i dont think i've finished literally a single one despite having played 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, crisis core, tactics, and tactics advance

i've gotten to the end in 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 but something always happened that stopped me from beating the final boss. my save corrupted in 5, idk wtf happened in 6, i recall getting frustrated in 7 and 8, and in 10 i decided to get all the ultimate weapons and quit playing in disgust after finally beating the stupid chocobo race

Animated a heap of this guy before my son was born but this week I went and implemented him. Some of the regular weak zombies will tear their arms free when injured and grab you from afar! It's pretty gross!

Working with my Horizontal camera scrolling today. Probably the nicest I've gotten this to work so far. The main thing it does is match your movement speed unless you change your direction and then it has to rush to catch up.

It also won't go out of bounds. Very nice for Horizontal areas, but more work is needed for tall rooms!

So I got this new UI working. The nicest new feature of it is the little mini-inventory off to the side, letting you know if you have space left in your case.

Prepping to do some GUI for Kitsune Tails and I have decided to do the most basic bitch shit imaginable by sizing the windows in units of tiles and if I wanna split a window that's just two iterations of a basic 9 slice glued together 16-bit Final Fantasy style. It'll be great

Someone in the shop brought up that we are back to 800+ in hospitals here (in a country this small that's overcrowding) for covid, only to be countered by a customer saying its a different strain of covid and its not as bad.

Which like, one what does it being a different strain mean? And two its bad enough to put people in the hospital!!

idk man i spent literal hours of my life every week having to preemptively block literal fascists on twitter and people seemed to be able to enjoy that just fine before coming here so i feel like they should already possess the coping mechanisms required to deal with people they find too preachy
