Yesterday I had to finish my work at 6 to attend a 3 hours language class at 7 and I was dissociating so hard that when I left I had to come back to work to grab something I forgot, then I freaked out thinking I lost a key to my office (they were in the other pocket). Then halfway to the language school I realized that I lost my coat somewhere along the way. Then I managed to get lost somehow on my way to the language school. After the class I got lost twice when I was exiting the fckin building! I was like “get yourself together FFS!” lol Feel so stupid even now while I’m writing this.
Recently I wanted to play a magical combat game and Hogwarts legacy seemed to be mostly what I was looking for so I ethically acquired a copy. Unfortunately even with DRM removed it runs very poorly on my laptop....
I am looking for a game system for a modern urban fantasy campaign that I have built. The world is as if a standard fantasy world exists in 2023 on Earth. I am having difficulty finding a system I think would do this style of campaign justice, and could really use some help....
Mostly it’s different subgenres of rock and metal (like 70% of all comments here. Seriously, I’ve never met so many ppl that listen to my favorite music in one place xD).
I kinda have a few moods. For the “fun and energetic” mood I have hard rock and heavy metal, for the “my job is f*cking me and I don’t like it” I have nu metal and some other things that sound angry, for the “fancy” I have a strange mix of P!atD, Franz Ferdinand, some songs that are creepy/sad but sound happy (“I can’t decide”, “Don’t fear the Reaper”, “To The Sea”) and steampunk/dark cabaret/murder song bands (Voltaire, Coppelius, the Cog is Dead, American Murder Song)
A huge bucket of family drama was upended on me yesterday and when I sat down to write about it, I got all vague and glossed over it, even though I probably need to get it out somehow. I trust the people in my life not to read my journal but seemed like a risk or even a betrayal of confidence to put the words down....
I don’t. I kinda trust people in my family to not open my journals but I also keep my journals with me most of the time and I write in another language so bigger part of my family can’t read them. Also if there’s something I’m scared of writing even in another language I write it in my script I made for this when I was a kid. Yeah, sometimes I’m kinda paranoid lol

All the maps, the schedules, and the character sheets using a gurps character sheet program (forgot what its called), because I run it through discord using a text format. I hardly plan anything besides what's in my head....
Obsidian! Can't recomment it enough! It's simple, has everything I need and a shitton of plugins (dice roller, statblocks, Initiative tracker, fantasy calendar, a tool for working with maps with pins and everything, ability to embed all sorts of generators from generators websites, wiki styled notes and more!)
Im joining in on the reddit ditching thing, and was kinda worried at first that i wouldnt be able to like use it the way i did reddit as it feels like a whole new place, but after engaging with posts and people and actually being a part of lemmy rather than being lurk mode all the time i was pleasantly surprised with how easy it...
I'm enjoying it! Smaller community feels cozy, I even started commenting (was a lurker on Reddit). Although there's always a room for improvement. I occasionally lose comments because of some bugs or server issues, sometimes opening things just leads to refreshing of the main page and you lose the post and so on
Never had any pets growing up because of my family but considered myself a dog person for some reason.
Then hubby's family got a small dog AND a cat. I kinda liked both for some time but then I found out that I'm allergic to pets. There was a very bad case of bronchitis when I would sometimes be unable to breathe at all. Started to keep my distance from both, especially the cat, because I had less of a reaction this way.
Then I had to take care of both because of family problems (some people dying, some living away for a long time). During this time the cat started to socialize with me more, demanding pets 50 times a day and I just couldn't say no :3 I started to really love this little girl and I even have less allergy now.
Today I visited my best friend in her new place for the first time. She has a GIANT FREAKING DOG. He's a good boi but not very polite, and as he put his paws on my shoulders and pushed me with all his 20+ kilos of weight and put his toothy face into mine the first thing that crossed my mind was "well, I didn't have to lie to myself that I'm not scared of big dogs, because I am :("
So, I guess I'm more of a cat person (easier to maintain, to get some personal space, blah blah blah) but I love our doggy anyway :D
