Can’t help but feel like most of what’s posted here is like the “old man yells at cloud” meme lol. Short form video is huge, people love it, young adults spend a ton of time on it, and most importantly it’s profitable.
But I get it, us millenials were the primary demographic on the internet for a long time, it’s a weird shift to see things that don’t cater to us pop up.
I don’t know, maybe funny clips? Notable moments from stream? You know, that clip functionality that Twitch has had for years that allows sharing short clips from the stream?
I’m starting to think you guys have never actually used the platforms you’re complaining about lol.
What the hell are you guys even talking about lol, VR isn’t “held back”. It’s an estimated $60B industry expecting ~30% compounded growth yearly. There’s huge demand, plenty of well polished games and apps, and pretty much all major studios are jumping in on it.
Just because everyone in the world didn’t wake up with a Quest 2 one day doesn’t mean it hasn’t taken off as abn industry with absolutely massive potential.
The best managers, leaders, and mentors I’ve ever had started as engineers and could hold their own in a technical capacity. The second best are non technical, but value their team members and provide air cover for them to do their best work.
The worst are career middle managers that overcompensate their lack of knowledge and usefulness by spewing bullshit like this to get over their well deserved imposter syndrome.
If you’re a “leader” I can promise that your team despises you and you absolutely crush their productivity. They aren’t successful because of you, they’re successful in spite of you.
And don’t even get me started on Six Sigma Babysitters.

As someone with a car from '07 it basically makes it impossible to drive safely at night, especially on really dark nights. There are points where you just straight up can’t see because you’re being blinded by someone coming towards you, not to mention your eyes just don’t adjust to the dark anymore since it’s happening more and more often.
