No it’s not. If there was a right way to protest everyone would do it. But protest is always messy, some people will hate you, some will applaude you. So choose something and try it. Or sit on the couch and comment on the internet like you are not part of the collapse thats coming.
The opposite of love is not hate but indifference. Indifferent to the problem and indifferent to the solutions.
Hear me out for a moment:
We can solve a big chunk of this. Politicians want to be elected, so they do what the people want. Under capitalism, every receipt is a ballot paper. Our shopping, toys and short vacations are only possible through exploitation and destruction. If we understand this, we can make different choices and simply let things be. We change our minds, we stop doing it! That’s harder than moaning about politics, the economy and the system on the internet, because you really have to change something about yourself. Paying more money for products that are also available cheaply. But as long as we remain greedy, spoiled bargain hunters, nothing will change around us.
Bonus points if you talk about it and go and demonstrate.

Es gibt Männer (nicht alle), die ihre Kraft, Macht, Status und teilweise auch ihr Geld aus dem Verbrennen von fossilen Energien schöpfen. Diese oft autoritären Männer fühlen sich in ihrer Männlichkeit und ihrem Lebensstil bedroht und bekämpfen deshalb vehement die dringend nötigen Veränderungen in Energie, Verkehr und Ernährung. Ich verallgemeinerte mal stark: Autoraser, Motorradfahrer, Rasenmäher, Fleischgriller und Aufsichtsräte von fossilen Konzernen sind fast immer: Männer.

Try different brands and put small amounts in every meal until you get used to it.
Buy a pressure cooker and cook dried beans yourself. The are cheaper und the texture is so much better! You can cook more than you need and put them in the freezer for later use.
Echt?! Ich wollte die nicht wählen, finde aber eine links-populistische Partei gut, wenn sie der AfD auch nur eine einzige Stimme klaut. Bei meinem Wahlomat war BSW dann überraschend weit unten, also habe ich in deren Positionen und Begründungen rein geschaut und war überrascht. Das liest sich alles sehr national sozialistisch konservativ. Fande ich nicht so ansprechend.
Ich weiß nicht was ich wählen soll. Linke über 90%, Grüne über 85%. Die PARTEI wähle ich erst wenn ich nichts mehr fühle. Oder was verrücktes, V³, Letzte Generation, Klimaliste? Hm.

I get what you are saying and I agree with “thats not for me”. The difference to other personal preferences is that as a carnist, you are paying for literaly billions of our fellow earthlings being killed on an industrial scale. So many that it’s destroying our livelihood. This is not a personal choice anymore, there are victims you choose to not notice, human and non-human. A lot of victims, 1.9 million chickens killed in Germany every day.
Once you realise this and you have the courage to really look beyond the word slaughter with your own eyes, see the inconceivable suffering, this became something I could not push out of my sight anymore. And then you realise it’s everywhere, and everyone is calling themselves animal lovers. So what do you do?
