This particular condition, which I've termed "Overdose on Red Pills," reflects a paradigm shift akin to the Qanon/MAGA narrative, rather than the philosophical awakening portrayed in the Matrix film. The initial indications of his transformation were subtle, first evident when he began echoing Qanon ideologies during an interview with Joe Rogan. This was a transformation I foresaw years prior.

His expression of hostile views, coupled with the affirmation he received from his cohorts, established a self-perpetuating cycle. This led to him distancing himself from rational individuals while seeking comfort amongst those affiliated with Qanon/MAGA. Unwittingly, he morphed into an unthinking zealot, becoming part of the aggressive collective consciousness. Currently, his rhetoric aligns with the MAGA narrative on nearly every topic, thereby supplying them with additional ammunition to further their cause. He has, metaphorically, confined himself within the walls of his own cognitive prison.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

You know what, I am going to let you figure that one out for yourself. A lot of us already pointed out Linux, but if you're asking that question, then you're probably reaching the point that you are considering the switch already. Everyone has their own breaking point with Windows, Microsoft will NEVER reduce their ads/telemetries on Windows going forward, it only going to get worse.

Good luck! And we'll see you on Linux in a few years.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Eating a lot of foods with Carolina Reaper or Ghost Pepper. I have carolina reaper infused sauce, salt shaker, chunky shaker, and whole pods and I would mix them with steak, pork chop, ramen, and so forth. I just like how it enhance the taste in different ways, not for everyone though.

‘Linux’ Foundation increases number of Microsoft employees in the board of directors to THREE, the only geek in the board has left (or got removed) (techrights.org)

Summary: The Linux Foundation is gradually becoming a shadow of Microsoft, just like the Open Source Initiative, where most of the money comes from Microsoft and the official blog promotes Microsoft, its proprietary software, and Microsoft’s side in a class action lawsuit over GPL violations (with 9 billion dollars in damages...

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Thing is, there is a line of succession for Linux Kernel, Linus is more of a Q/A manager for determining whether to merge code or not, and they most likely never yield to Linux Foundation, because why the hell would they want to let some corpo suits tell them what to do especially if they don't have the technical literacy to do the job in the first place? If corpo try to meddle with the development process of Linux Kernel into something of a hostile environment, then developers of Linux would just fork off and spin off their own version right there and then.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Sometime it's better to let it happen and let the user find out the person who mis-transcode video maliciously and get that malicious person banned from the instance. Many instances are invite-only, so it works out in a way that the benefit outweigh the risk.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

I suppose although the documentation does point it out that the offender can modify such content with ease.

For live transcoding, I would suggest the broadcaster to purchase a good GPU and have it transcode the broadcast. While they are trying to suggest CPU-based solution, i would argue that they should explore the GPU based solution which can be much better optimized for this scenario.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Yep, and what more is that Russians had a year to dig in with anti-tank defenses, but once those are gone or penetrated, then Russian are very well and truly screwed. They're not well trained, they lacked resources, they are running on old technologies, and there are 3 or more warlords having contentions with each others. Soldiers that could have racked up experience in the fighting wouldn't be given the choice to fight another day, because of the barrier troop that would shoot them if they retreat.

I think once the defensive lines are gone, we'll see something similar to a Thunder Run by America during the battle of Iraq.

Im curiouse but sense ai stuff is popular and such, can you make a comic/manga with ai?

I know there a mix of love and hate around it but is it posible to make a comic/manga or something using mostly free ai tools. i cant draw really anyhting but stickmen and ai i find cool but my pc is low end-ish so i cant run locally ai, are there any free ones or software/things needed to test some things out....

TheTrueLinuxDev,

For a more comprehensive understanding of this topic, I recommend watching Legal Eagle lawyer's detailed explanation. He presents the issue as a spectrum, taking into consideration the implications of limiting copyright on content generated or assisted by AI. For instance, should strict restrictions be imposed, using functionalities like Photoshop's content-aware fill with the intent to copyright the work could be disallowed. He characterizes this as an extreme conclusion if we prohibit AI from contributing to any part of the process.

Legal Eagle lawyer explains that it's feasible to generate artwork using AI, and then further modify it using one's personal input. This alteration could be sufficient to justify that significant human effort has been applied, thereby allowing a claim for copyright.

Furthermore, the emergence of careers centered on AI is not merely a possibility, but a foreseeable reality. Utilizing detection methods, ironically, can serve to enhance the AI - a characteristic of how Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN AI) function. Consequently, these advancements provide more opportunities, rather than limit them, as some might perceive.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

And it not bad at all, they are making such a spectacular show of how every corpo social media fail and why everyone need to get off of there and run their own community that are federated/distributed.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Making college education free is what I was thinking. We already funded public education, what one more for college/universities? Our country is mostly operated on high skill workforce, so why not make it a policy in this country?

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Capitalism requires that there are people in poverty, that's part of it's function.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

It goes to prove that billionaires are just as gullible as the rest of the people, all they had was just money and assets, it doesn't grant them wisdom or intelligence.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Oh boy, wait until you find out about CBDC (Government's version of cryptocurrency with dypotian spin on it such as deleting your money if they don't like you.)

TheTrueLinuxDev, (edited )

More fact info

The problem with CBDC is that they are actively developing it in a way they intended on rolling it out to the public (they are trying to set up campaign to roll it out) and we would be very screwed if it ever goes live, because it is not decentralized, there is going to be no due process and the authority is controlled by the government which historically have screwed people over repeatedly, just look at civil forfeiture surpassing robbery in USA, they could just do it with a mouse click in CBDC.

Even Yermack points out the risk of political abuse of CBDC and yet they are still going for it.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

You're asking the right question, this is something they don't need and yet they have been pushing this for years.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Well they can delete your money for not liking you, just look at how Republicans have been treating the LGBT community lately. if they have the chance to, they would absolutely love to delete all money owned by LGBT people.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

And we have the option to use the paper dollars, by depreciating that, you have no safety net during a bank run. GG.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

That's good and all, but if you haven't diversify your assets, equity, and capitals, then you are still putting all of your eggs in one basket.

TheTrueLinuxDev,
  1. You can purchase certain kind of assets that appreciate in value over time.
  2. Back in the day, people actually purchase/exchange bitcoins/crypto in cash before crypto exchange is around, those are still going today.
  3. Exchanging currency is still a thing even if it's in person, one currency can drop in value faster than the other during an inflation squeeze.

I could go on and on, you absolutely can with cash and people do it all the time.

We almost had a bank run in America a few times now, cash is good to have if you're in the middle of a bank run in America and you have to buy things now.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

Ok, so how would you purchase something like something from Wakfu MMO or other services when at the time they were blacklisted by credit card or payment processing gateway? Literally the only way at that time is to purchase crypto like dogecoin so that you could actually buy something on those services. It still happen today where other services are classified as "high risk" depending on what they offers, where they are, and so forth. They get blacklisted by credit card company and payment processing company, so they literally have to resort to using crypto to work around this problem, because what else are they supposed to do?

But go ahead and make up crap about crypto like how it solve nothing. I am honestly tired of people whining about "muh energy efficiency", if you cared that much about energy efficiency, why don't you use the same energy protesting the crypto and instead protest the billionaire flying in their private jets or even better, why not ban computer games altogether? Stop being a hypocrite, I am honestly tired of this.

TheTrueLinuxDev,

I guess it's for the best that those astroturfing people stay on Reddit while we can enjoy the Lemmy-verse.
