The COVID lockdowns actually improved my social life
I live in a rural area, don't socialise locally. All my friends from my before life in London were dispersed, so my social life was after work stuff generally
Lockdown hit, so I started an online community radio show and chat group. It was wild, folks loved it. I reconnected with old friends and we talk most days now. Connections I thought I'd lost
We meet up and do shit now. Work drinks a distant memory
@Twoclownseating During lockdowns I met a guy on Twitter who lived near me. Like me, he had a radio degree but hadn’t been able to use it, so was pondering setting up an online station.
I ended up helping him out with it, and doing my own couple of hours a week on air. It was great.
Turns out it’s real hard work and costs a bit to do it legit, so it fell apart after a year or so. Still it was fun.
My offering is not so much a live performance, more a work of art. Blows my mind every time I watch this

The brick is about 3 and a half feet from the ground so I suspect he was probably a child. I often wonder about John, did he get a spanking for defacing the wall or was he allowed to do this by a sentimental parent, leaving his childhood mark on their home

I have a friend, Steve. When we were young (15) he was proper cool, me not so much. He didn't do the mean girls thing, he clued me up. Introduced me to so much music, literally my foundation. He remembers my birthday, my kids too. As a man this is borderline superhero territory

Institutional child abuse, police corruption, governmental failures leading to the deaths of tens of thousands of people, among other things, are being aired but the press don't push them to you so they pass as disclosed but unheard
