Only things I can remember for Psyonix was they dropped OS support for Mac and Linux, pulled the game from steam, and required an epic account to continue playing. Luckily refunds were being honored when it happened.

Not him, but nProtect doesn’t actually work properly when playing helldivers through proton on linux. It launches but doesn’t have kernel access.

Most of the stuff I listen to never had lyrics support or had incorrect lyrics anyway.

A polo and jeans until I escaped to public school.

Can we all agree that whatever version of predictive text we have nowadays is crap, and has been for a long time?

I’m sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I’m sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I’m sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it’s been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one...

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@lemmy.world avatar

I haven’t noticed this, but I also have heavily curated my predictive text so that it doesn’t even attempt to use uncommon words I won’t use.

People do still use reel mowers and such.

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@lemmy.world avatar

That makes sense. In town I still see enough of them that they stand out, but these aren’t huge yards or anything either.

Obscurest Vinyl has some hilarious stuff. I like “You Look like You Could Use a Fuckin’ Lamp” and “It’s Time To Take a Shit on the Company’s Dime” enough that they made it onto my spotify.

So this is what [[Farewell]] in black would be

Court upholds New York law that says ISPs must offer $15 broadband (arstechnica.com)

Trade groups claimed the state law is preempted by former Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai’s repeal of net neutrality rules. Pai’s repeal placed ISPs under the more forgiving Title I regulatory framework instead of the common-carrier framework in Title II of the Communications Act. 2nd Circuit judges did...

The panels stop 9mm from a video not from tesla, but nothing hotter.

Tesla has a video of it being able to withstand .45 but I haven’t seen anyone else verify.

Turn the car around by using the door

Voyajer,

If I’m not a car what door am I using to turn around?

Voyajer,

Drkt said I could turn around though. How do I turn around with the door?

Oh no! 5 seconds of GPU time on consumer grade hardware!

Voyajer,
@Voyajer@lemmy.world avatar

I know exactly how much goes into it, 5 seconds of GPU time, on my own computer. That’s why I said it. How many phone charges do you think it would take to fully create a digital drawing on a laptop? It’s not going to be much different IME.

Of course I’ve taken into account model training costs, was that supposed to be your gotcha? You don’t actually think the energy cost amortization from training still accounts for the bulk of energy expended per image generated do you?
