It causes no end of problems in day to day life, so I’m interested to hear if anyone has tips or just experiences to share so it doesn’t feel such a lonely frustrating issue....
Yeah like when I “imagine” something I think about it more like a list of things about it kinda like what you said. Some people I talk to talk about actually seeing stuff when they visualize while others have said they don’t really “see” it and it’s something different. I’m starting to feel like maybe it’s one of those things like trying to describe colors to a blind person that just can’t really be done without already having a frame of reference about it.
I’m curious about what 2 is like, cause I’m pretty sure I’m 1 but not entirely sure so would be interested to know how it works for people who know they’re 2.
If anything more recently schools have been going the opposite direction. Moving away from Windows towards Chrome Books which is probably even worse from a being prepared for the future stand point.
I’ve managed to avoid giving up the headphone jack, using a Pixel 5a right now. Although when I eventually have to get my next phone I have a feeling there might not be many choices left with the headphone jack.
I mean there are genuine reasons you might want a house over an apartment. If you have a big family or the fact that you own it and don’t have a land lord that can just raise rent and force you out. You gotta have a mix of types of housing that actually matches what the needs of the people are, which is still the exact problem we have now.
At least with steam I’m pretty sure you can apply a balance to a purchase and pay for the rest with a card. If I remember right the last time I tried with battle.net it doesn’t let you do that.
Like I said I don’t fully remember so could be different. I do remember they won’t let you use balance to pay for subscriptions, even if you have a card on the account too, which atleast kinda makes sense but is still bad.

I began noticing on Reddit (official mobile app) that if I hadn’t viewed a community in a while, it would NEVER show up in my feed. I always assumed this was Reddit trying to play “Facebook” BS - safe to assume with Lemmy that won’t be the case?
I think the problem I've noticed with Lemmy is I tend to only get the more popular communities showing up over and over again. Reddit was at least a little better about showing smaller subreddits I visited in my main feed at least somewhat often. Not sure if I just need to change how I sort on Lemmy, I currently use hot and subscribed.

Is how easily mods have caved in once the admins threatened to remove them. I had thought we'd see quite a few cases where Reddit would have to step in an replace entire mod teams (effectively killing the community). But it seems like that hasn't happened at all - the closest we've got is mods being reordered....
Part of the problem as we've seen with a few subreddits is all it takes is one mod who is swayed to reddits side to end the blackouts and probably will happen with these protests that have been happening as well. One mod that either doesn't support the blackouts or says they don't but really is just using it to gain full control of the subreddit is all it takes.
This is a great idea. Not only does it maliciously comply with what Reddit said but it also has the chance of getting a mention on LastWeekTonight when they come back.
I mean makes sense they might be a little cautious about what they do, cause like if they get removed the people reddit replaces them with aren't gonna let anything supporting the protests go through.
I was talking more about the subreddits that are reopening but still doing stuff to effectively keep their subreddits not usable. They're at least trying to toe the line so they can still do stuff like that where as if they just ignored what Reddit says they would just get replaced with mods that will go the complete opposite direction and stop any talking about protests.
Ah I didn't know what they were doing, I assumed it was something similar to what r/pics is doing. Haven't been back on Reddit since I uninstalled it the day before the blackout started.
Didn't they recently open up achievements massively in one of their other games so you could get them with mods? I imagine if that rolls out well they'll probably open them up for Stellaris and other games over time.
