::: spoiler I searched around the room, completed few puzzles and I got the film roll (which I’m guessing is used to win the game, since the slime says to defeat “him”), but I’m not seeing anything else. :::
Is it the Nintendo Switch OS which is needlessly bloated? It does nothing, how can it be heavier than an actual Linux Distribution?
AFAIK the OS is based on a microkernel and the modules are rather small, so there’s probably a lot of overhead for IPC. Also I guess the power management is quite aggressive to increase battery life and lower heat.
So I have a couple month old OnePlus N30 phone, and one thing that drives me crazy with it is when I plug it in at night to charge, eventually it fully charges. You would think this is good, but then it decides to vibrate every 30 seconds or minute or so to tell me it’s fully charged. Over and over again till it wakes me up...
What’s your build like? I have an i5 6600k and a GTX 1660. I have two displays one connected to the 1660 and the other to the iGPU, so I might have been accidentally using the latter. Wayland seems to not work even on my other PC with a single GPU (3060 ti) tho.
So recently I was thinking how games with pixel art graphics are popular nowadays, and I was wondering if there are new games being made with other kinds of “retro” graphics, for example, games that look like the PS1 or PS2 eras....
I love the original Hotline Miami but I’m not a big fan of the boss fights like the ones in Neighbors (Biker) and Deadline (Van Driver). I find it kind of slows down the game and limits the strategies you can take....
For me it’s dark souls after the lordvessel. The areas in that section are the worst part of the game IMO.
Also in dmc5 I hate having to play V’s missions, luckily you can skip them with the mission select, but you still have to play through them at least once when unlocking a new difficulty.
I also recently replayed cyberpunk 2077 and while I did generally enjoy the game, the ending was a slog and I had to force myself to finish it.
Personally, I really don’t like most of these games due to the tedium and frustration that comes with hunger/thirst mechanics. Most of the exceptions that I do actually like either make up for it through something else that elevates the experience enough - or they either don’t have these mechanics or allow for players to...
If they count as survival then survival horror like Resident Evil and Signalis.
Most of the traditional survival games I’ve played end up being annoying to play because of the constant use of your resources outside of your control and I find gathering for crafting kinda boring. This kinda ruined Subnautica for me, since I was mostly interested in exploring but I had to constantly return to base to do chores.
Harvesting food, collecting water, random gathering for materials to craft. I guess it gets better later in the game, but I tried starting it twice and after ~10h I dropped it both times because I was annoyed with the resources.
I’ve used it at work since it often is the only installed browser and it feels like it’s already infected by toolbars and other malware out of the box.
The new tab page reminds me of the weird ads you see at the bottom of tabloid websites.
Luckily on my actual work PC I can use whatever I want, but on other devices I’m forced to use Edge both because of restrictions on what I can install and because there’s a lot of internal applications that still rely on vbscript.

That machine is impressive though. If it’s a preprogrammed sequence that’s great, but if it’s got sensors to monitor and adapt on the fly its even more impressive.
These machines are usually made to test/learn control systems, so everything is controlled dynamically by a PID or some other controller.

Recently completed Dark Souls for the first time. I’m not sure if I enjoyed it, but it was a unique experience.
Started Monster Hunter Rise on PC. Some things feel a bit “off” but it’s enjoyable (I actually tried playing on Switch when the game released, but it was miserable)
Most of the video games I’ve played were pretty good. The only one I can think of that I didn’t like was MySims Kingdom for the Nintendo DS. Dropped that pretty quickly. It was a long while ago, but I’ll guess it was because there were too many fetch quests and annoying controls.
