So, when I first saw this headline, my process went like this
“Stuttering? I’ve got stuttering when I’m under Wayland. Is this link about nvidia stuff, which I’m already across or some other thing?”
“Hmm, no more context in the headline. Oh, and it’s a video link, so I can’t even click on the link to get a quick summary to know if it’s relevant to me. I don’t want to watch the video if it’s not relevant to me”
And that was the end of it. I never bothered to click on it.
So, I see some comment, post view from my instance is missing comparing to view from that original instance. Which prevent me to interact (like, comment)...
If you’re not on lemmy world, but the poster/community that you’re looking at is on lemmy.world, that could be your answer. Due to the way lemmy currently processes federated content, lemmy.world is big enough that many other instances aren’t able to process lemmy.world messages as fast as it produces them, meaning that the smaller instances fall ever further behind lemmy.world
I know there’s been a few posts about this before, but it’s been a month since the last one and it’s still ongoing. It doesn’t seem that any of the LW admins responded to Zag’s post on their help community, and the last response from lodion/Nath I’m aware of was from 4 months ago when there were outright federation...
I have a Samsung watch 6. The main reason I bought it is for running so I can log strava with HR monitoring and listen to podcasts. Well after a few runs logged, the HR monitor on the watch is really quite terrible. Yes I know all about the watch positioning on the wrist. It has massive gaps in HR logging and just blinks while...
I had a garmin strap laying around from when I was using a garmin, but the watch didn’t support ANT+ devices, so that didn’t work. I didn’t have a bluetooth one to test

Basically, jobs are processed in a serial fashion, and each job involves several steps of back and forth communication between the two instances to complete. Add in around the globe latency, and new jobs arrive faster than old jobs can be cleared out of the queue.
I’m growing more and more impressed with its capabilities the more I use it! Wrapping my head around its approach to masking, and its “scene referred pipeline” took some time, but now that I’m getting the hang of it, I think I can say I genuinely prefer it to Lightroom....

Are there any updates on the ongoing federation delays with lemmy.world?
