The more weapons they add the more diluted and redundant the balancing will become, we'll just see how far they keep going like this. If they continue releasing weapons at this rate for a year more it could get really weird.

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

They've been pretty keen on balancing weapons regularly, so I don't think they'd do that or else why even waste the time balancing and creating contention with the community over it, but time will tell

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

The first one was actually worse because it was only DLC there, no earnable in game currency. In 2 you can easily farm it on trivial missions if you don't mind a little tedium, but you also just earn it as you play if you explore.

Interactive Loading Screens - High Hell

Developing interactivity is effort and an investment. Most developers put up a simple loading screen, maybe some text like rotating tips, and a loading indicator. Until 2015 a patent on interactive loading screens may have made developers and publishers cautious and decide against developing interactivity....

Disgaea 3 on the Vita had a loading screen with a prinny spinning like a ballerina. If you tilted the Vita the accelerometer would make him slide across the screen accordingly, like a spinning top

This is tricky, I can't think of a drinking game that's reliable, but also won't kill you by the end of the first movie like this would

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

Haven't got a chance to play yet. Is it a 100% chance that it ricochets back at you, or random chance?

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

Before they just never ricocheted back at me, they just flew randomly off based on the angle.

I've played since then, I've had some shots fly straight back at me but it's a percentage chance or something, certainly not every single shot, and I tanked a reflected autocannon shot and it didn't kill me, so I think there's some damage falloff after ricocheting as well, so it's not too crazy

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

I thought that it was going to be new Bethesda content, but then it was just workshop content, so it's not substantial.

all-knight-party,

The patch note about increased enemy spawns the less players are in your party is strange to me. It's already more difficult with less players, and even when I want to risk matchmaking with randoms, half the time only one or two join me.

I don't have enough friends to consistently have a 4 man party, so it seems a little bit of a backhanded change to make it even harder when I don't think anyone was thinking that was needed

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

That's why I mentioned that even when setting to public it's not consistent that 4 people join me.

I doubt it's anti-SC since you can farm that on trivial, but according to word going around it's more of a bug fix than a change, but I'm not sure why they put it under balancing instead of bug fixes if they didn't want the community to perceive it as such

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

That's what the post is trying to highlight, that people don't allow themselves to view something retroactively as the good it had, only the negative, as if the end failure is all they got out of it.

When I was a teenager I slipped and fell backwards at the beach and hit the back of my head on concrete, and exhibited light concussion symptoms for half a day afterwards. As I was falling backwards I had a good second and a half to go "well, this may be it, whether I'm ready or not".

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

Even if we did it's going to be so far removed from the team that made the first one it wouldn't feel the same anymore. I think the time for a sequel that feels like a true sequel is far gone

all-knight-party,

21 Jump Street. Lighthearted, don't need to worry about how deep it is or not, but it's well-written, well-executed comedy, and I've already seen it a couple times and know that's not just nostalgia talking.

I think a general group of adults would get a kick out of it.

If that's how the console turns out then I expect them to make up that difference in the cost. I'll be happy with a modest console as long as it has full backwards compatible and it's not priced at the steam deck

You could say they force you, but I don't really see it that way. Beehaw should be a forum you can go to and have decent, comfortable conversation without offensive and heated overtones. I became so utterly sick of that internet tone from reddit over the years, and it absolutely extends to every other part of the fediverse except for Beehaw, because it's humanity that wants to be that way, not reddit specifically.

The only way to stop people from reacting with... that tone as you did is to moderate the shit out of it. You may not personally agree with it, but if you don't there are tons of other instances that are all rampant with people running around accusing each other of being politically evil and being dicks besides. Beehaw is a breath of fresh air to me that way.

Would I trust their method to run a nation's government? No, but a small internet forum where I might want to go to discuss things with people and retain a lower heart rate and faith in humanity? It's much better than any alternative I've seen.

Wow, I would never have expected a bathroom trash can to be a green flag, I thought that was a bare minimum requirement for a home. Congrats!

For one of my friends even though he was on my steam friend's list, and I could see him as a friend on the HD friend list, I had to accept a friend request from him in HD's pending invites section for the game to consider him a friend, and that allowed him to join our friends only games.

It's likely you have the same issue, whatever the reason

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

It's not bad. You only have to use the "premium" currency to unlock the extra unlock tracks, but you also get that currency in-game and farming it isnt too crazy.

Currently as soon as you pick it up your account gets it, so you can drop into trivial missions, find some, collect it, alt F4, do the same mission repeatedly dropping at the super credits every time since the spawns are static on the same map (hence the alt F4) and then once you have 1,000 you can buy one of the unlock tracks. All of the gear and everything in the unlock track is in-game currency from there, so I don't consider it bad at all since you can easily cheese it for free

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

Weird, I was able to accept mine, even though he was already my friend, it just made us friends on his side as well. It must be broken in more than one way

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

I've seen a pattern where a lot of comments on links are about what the user thinks of the topic, and not about the actual article or video specifically, and more often people only care to comment if they are opinionated, and often times that's a negative opinion

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

It's not a remaster. It's just a repackaging and rerelease. As per usual with Aspyr's work they did the bare minimum, if you can even consider it that

all-knight-party,
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

V ^ ^ V ^ is the jump pack, and the only difference between that and the first one is the < > at the end. Possibly signaling a jump pack that has more horizontal than vertical capabilities? a hover pack?

other than that i can confirm that neither of these exist in the first game, so it will be very unlikely that it'd be another returning stratagem
