It’s so bleak just sitting here waiting for all of this to collapse in on itself isn’t it

@HailsandAles currently listening to the new Pallbearer. It's fantastic.

Vitskär Süden's new album is also very good.

FEUERSCHWANZ Release Live Video For "Wardwarf" Feat. WIND ROSE's Francesco Cavalieri
Feuerschwanz have unveiled a live video for "Wardwarf", cut from the band’s brand-new English-language album, Warriors. The video perfectly captures the intense and enthusiastic energy present at Feuerschwanz shows, as was once again proven at their almost completely sold out recent headline tour, which will be continued in...

@TheMetalDog wonder if they've given credit to Miracle of Sound for the song Valhalla Calling in the said same album.

    @ZachWeinersmith Am moving house & when I started packing a culled nearly a thousand books from my collection, which left me with just over a thousand - the majority of which I acquired when I moved into the property am leaving. With most of those being unread.
    No, I don't have a problem with hoarding books.

    Something @TheMetalDog or @HailsandAles might know:
    A black metal album (think by a solo artist) that was released in the past 5 years that starts with good black metal stuff but half way transforms into a dark acoustic country/Americana album.

    Been wrackng my brain but can't remember the artist or album, so wondering if you guys know what I'm talking about (or if this is more of my madness).

    andthegeekshall,
    @andthegeekshall@mastodon.social avatar

    @TheMetalDog @HailsandAles It's not Me and That Man. Nor is is Asinhell.

    I remember the artist has two albums out. think first heard through 666Doom on youtube but for some reason thought was recommended here, hence why I thought of you guys.

    Will check the tags on band camp to see what pops up and report back.

    @andthegeekshall@mastodon.social avatar

    @HailsandAles @TheMetalDog No, because was just listening to him.

    My mind is pretty messed up but know the album went some good if standard black metal stuff into suddenly going acoustic dark country midway through the album but change was so well done you don't realise it happened.

    Blackbraid is fantastic though.

    @HailsandAles @TheMetalDog It was actually Penopticon and their album "The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness II", thanks heaps for reminding me (& think you were the one who first recommended them to me too).

    andthegeekshall,
    @andthegeekshall@mastodon.social avatar

    @TheMetalDog @HailsandAles Do recommend Panopticon in general as a solid band. The crossover black metal/country stuff is brilliant.
