What's a band that has one album that is just about perfect in your opinion, but rest of their discography misses the mark with you?

One of mine is Commit This to Memory by Motion City Soundtrack. I basically took the title verbatim and know the album word for word. And while I would love if it did, the rest of MCS’s stuff just doesn’t hit the same way....

We gave our kid their first proper smartphone when they had to do a bit of travel to get to school. However, I’ve fully embraced the parental controls of Google family link and Microsoft safety and it’s been great so far. The combination of both provides incredibly granular controls to what they can see on the web, how long they use specific apps and what apps they’re allowed to install.

I’m German and seems ‘we’ rely more on file hosters than torrenting. There are lots of tv series and movies with both the original audio track and the dubbed one on sites like funxd, serienjunkies, serienfans… They mostly redirect to a filecrypt.cc folder and then I get a DLC file to download the parts from turbobit or...

I very recently got myself the nothing phone 2 and can highly recommend it. It looks great, is rather unique in terms of design and well polished overall. I had a S20+ for the past 4 years and I’m glad I got this model. The cameras are good, the battery ample, and the screen is really gorgeous.

Got the white one because the back just looks dope in white, and most of the quirks I am experiencing are related to my custom launcher and android 14. Overall, it’s such a great device. Looks gorgeous and the gliphy LED really stand out for design. The OS interface is also really futuristic - and the ringtones and notification sounds ! and I dig that a lot. The screen is just amazing. Overall, I’m a really happy bunny with it.

I also got the ear (2) and they sound good, not to mention they also look cool for the price. I love the little cool sound they make for the various functions. But that was only because the buds + I bought in 2020 started to be funny. So I YOLO’d and got them. Overall super curated experience. I wish I had gotten the case for the phone as it looks so pristine I’m worried my clumsyness will scratch its beauty

Passkey is only when you login to the website to do stuff. When you login on your ps5 it’ll only ask you for your pin. Now just make sure you don’t lose your ps5 in the subway or at the park and you should be fine.

The Apple Home app is terrible,and just seems to get worse and worse. What other options are out there?

All of my devices are homekit compatible, but I do not want to use the Apple Home app because it’s pretty much broken IMHO. I was suggested these alternatives. Did anyone have experience with these, or other recommendations? I have Hue and Aidot lights and sync boxes. A Homepod mini, an M2 Mac Mini, 2 iPads, an iPhone 13, and...

homebridge is no longer being developed for home assistant because there is now a dedicated hoomekit plugin. Having said that, I still use homebridge standalone because it works better with some devices I control with my broadlink IR/RF emitter, in combination with home assistant for automations etc. Home assistant is clearly superior but it’s not perfect either. The only thing the home app is good for is for siri commands.
