The Commission published its first report on the real-world CO₂ emissions of new passenger cars and vans. The report is based on data collected in 2021 from fuel consumption monitors installed on-board of these vehicles.
For new plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) first registered in 2021, the real-world CO2 emissions were on average 3.5 times (4 l/100km or 100 g CO2/km) higher than the type-approval values, which confirms that these vehicles are currently not realising their potential, largely because they are not being charged and driven fully electrically as frequently as assumed.
This instance could definitely have a QA community. If they want, instead of enforcing the rule, simply state “bug reports should go here and there, questions and answers are run by users themselves in the respective community”. Then, everyone would be happy.
We all know that hosting or direct-linking to copyrighted material is clearly a bad idea for any cyberspace that want to survive (e.g. avoid legal fees). And that’s not happening at “piracy” communities. Just stating facts. That’s why I truly believe that defederating would be an extreme measure. More of a political stance. Which is the case for most of the defederation that .world has been doing, clearly they have a political agenda.
This is sad to me, it was the rock band I admired back in 2001. Twenty years later, I didn’t follow their music anymore since long ago… Yet, the turns of life brought me to Germany. And I heard this… Really hope there’s some justice, and it never happens again. nothing. even. similar.

Craving for foods that fake your senses, sounds very much like drug abuse. As growing older I have been striving to avoid potato chips and go for fruits. Apples are sweet and crunchy. Clementine hydrates a lot. Banana provides potassium to avoid cramps, and so on. No junk food provides any of these… Yet, they entice us…
It seems like so much of social ecology is centered around Bookchin. His ideas are certainly useful, and I don’t have anything major to take issue with him for. But he is still one guy, and it’s pretty inconsistent with a movement growing from anarchism to uphold individual people as heroes. He’s also a cis white man from...
Chico Mendes in Brazil comes to mind. Maybe Eduardo Galeano has a text about him. I think you should look into indigenous movements in general, they have a long tradition. It’s mostly about fighting, if you want to see some theoretical works, maybe some sociologists from LatAm can share some insights… Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, all have indigenous population that live in ‘natural reserves’ without being recognized as a Nation, like Mapuches in Patagonia.
Ah. I just noticed that you said Global South. Somehow, I thought about LatAm exclusively. Of course Oceania, Asia, and Africa may have similar stories.
I already have my keepassxc and syncthing setup on my phone and computers and it’s great, I’d like to go a step further and have my password database sync when I’m not on my home network. From my understanding I can use relays set up by other users and they are encrypted, but if I do not trust syncing personal (encrypted)...
Syncthing is p2p. The servers only see your devices IP addresses and let them connect to share data themselves. That’s why it’s a relay. But AFAIK files only goes from, and to, your syncthing clients; without passing through the relays. At most, the relay may see some metadata as filenames. I have been syncing passwords like this since long ago. Never jumped to Bitwarden because I didn’t had the need… May do so anyway because of OTP and Passkeys…
Oh, and the syncthing encryption that you may enable for the folders is for these devices/ clients. This may be useful is you were to use a third part machine, like a VPS, as a 24/ 7 node for your files. That’s different from a relay, may be desirable if you want to sync ASAP and avoid conflicts. In any case, conflicts are rare… you would need to open the DB and add entries at the same time, or some quirky scenario…

I have just voted to limited as first option because I imagine we can then switch to any other (e.g. my second option, open) based on the experience so far. Would that be possible? I mean revisiting whatever we set now in a couple of months. Maybe using the results from this same survey, or a new one…
What happens if I pick the same option (e.g. Blocked) as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd option? Is that a waste of my voting or is it exploiting the counting method so that I can really be insisting with what I really want?
Ps. I already voted different options anyway because it sounded like what was expected from me.
I understand AI well enough. The argument that companies training models on data with copyright were actually doing piracy holds true to me. Being in favor or against, since these are big corps using artists work without paying royalties is an open discussion maybe, but nonetheless… I felt that a clarification was due. Sorry (or not) to open the offtopic hatch…

Beware of radarr, if you remove a library there it clears all files without warning! (That’s why I came back to manual. Setup was a hassle, and having to come to a backup was the last drop in my glass)
All these news about Yuzu made me realized I never tried a switch emulator. For education purposes I am interested in guides with links to prod keys. Anyone have any links?...
Right now, yuzu emulator is being forked and taken over by multiple developers, re-releasing and promising to continue its development in spite of Nintendo lawyers. For example, nuzu. All this is to say that is not the best time for a newbie to jump in, unless they are willing to re-jump in whatever fork out there turns to have a good community of developers and resists Nintendo efforts to shut them off.
