@daringfireball@gruber Not sure if you've seen this but someone also did a deep dive on Reddit on the supposed reason as to why it happened—very interesting.
@marcoarment thank you so much! Big fan. Is that the M2 or M3? I have an 11” iPad Pro as well but there’s something else about the Mac. macOS is irreplaceable.
When I finally pull the trigger, a new 13" iPad Pro w/ 16GB RAM, keyboard & stylus is gonna cost me €3,107. It would be by far the most powerful computer I own.
That's more than twice as much as what I paid for the Mac mini I do all my development on. It even beats out my high-end gaming PC whose GPU alone was €1800.
All of that goes to waste because it’s paired with a simplified, stripped-down OS using the same technology stack and limitations as a $300 Netflix device for your grandparents
@stroughtonsmith thanks! Appreciate the response. I may hop on as well. My MBP is way too unwieldy so this would be nice to bring on vacations. If only we had macOS on it 🥲
Just need to decide between nano-texture or not. This is all new to me
• We’re planning to update melonDS core to 0.9.5 with the next major Delta update (1.6)
• The reason we’re still using 0.9.1 is because updating will break save states, and lots of Delta users rely on them
• We’ve come up with a solution that will let people convert legacy save states to save files (.sav) — even after Delta has been updated
• Please stop hounding the melonDS devs, this is a Delta issue and we’re doing our best to release this ASAP 🙂
My iPhone 15 Pro doesn't hold onto USB-C cables very well anymore, and they always fall out or flake out.
(And I only use the USB-C port for Xcode and travel charging, so it's not from overuse.)
Anyone else have this happen? Is this most likely a "crap in the port” 5-minute-fix-at-an-Apple-store situation, or a hardware-repair I'll-be-without-my-phone-for-some-days-and-need-to-move-into-an-old-one situation?
@marcoarment I got yogurt in my phone port the other day and apple had some special device to fix it in about 5-10 minutes but I was told even if they had to replace it they could do it in like an hour.
• Yes, it’s coming!
• We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s near completion, just need to finish up controller skins + fix some last bugs
• We didn’t prioritize iPad because plan was to launch in just EU with AltStore PAL (which doesn’t support iPad)
• Obviously plans changed when Apple changed their rules, so we’re prioritizing iPad now and it will come with the next major Delta update (1.6)
• It’s available now for Patrons through regular AltStore 🙂
@rileytestut are there plans to add in new or updated cores like mGBA? My game freezes a lot if I make a new save state and then delete other states while in the same menu
@rileytestut ah totally understand that. Congrats on the success by the way! Been playing since I was in high school wirh GBA4iOS & Emerald!
I really love the purple default skins. They’ve aged gracefully. Still my favorite to use. (Just wish it had turbo or quick save/load but it’s so good I have to use it haha)
@rileytestut If I may, and you're probably already aware of this so apologies but I think a similar purple-style DS skin would be dope. The current pink one kinda cuts into the notch on Face-ID phones.
Anyway, looking forward to your continued success! Subscribed on Patreon!
@schwa oh shit that’s enticing. I think everything else requires you use their own browser right? I’m not too interested in that but this sounds promising—at least to remove the data and then cancel my subscription.
@_Davidsmith hi! Big fan of pedometer++. I had a question about accuracy. I think the app merges both iPhone and Apple Watch data which could come in handy when using a cart at a grocery store for example or using my laptop with my arms up when on a walking pad.
But if I’m doing normal walking around the house and have both is more accurate? The watch or the phone?
I was curious if the app could differentiate that. I find pedometer++ is usually 1-2k above what the “health” app says.
For those asking about photo organization: I shoot, import, edit, select and export. The export goes into dated and named folders that are also albums in Apple Photos.
Did you know Photos albums can have folders? 2022 contains albums which contain folders, etc. it’s great.
