@pathfinder I’ve had people message through the store chat and ask me, “I’m not autistic, just ADHD. Can I still shop here?” It was alienating people the way it was before. So hopefully this helps more people feel seen and accepted.
I should create some products, like t-shirts, that show more inclusivity. I’ll put that on the list for whatever day my brain is functional again.
I actually did laundry today for the first time in over a month... so yay me!
Next to somehow make myself do the dishes! Those have been in the sink for way too long.
I'm a lot more alert this morning than normal. Don't know if it's the 260mg caffeine at 3am, or the new Strattera dose, or the panic attack I had this morning lol
I'm pretty high strung today, so I'm having a Red Bull so I'll calm the F down and be sedated lol
The person I hired and then shut down the plushie store rejected all the plushies I sent her, so they went back to the seller and I'm getting all my money back.
I left a review for the 2.5 gallon fish tank I bought on Amazon. Said it has a lot of great features, its just too small for anything to live in it, and I can't return it because I've already set it up.
The seller messaged me and said they are giving me a full refund and to keep the fish tank. Very nice of them.
First day of the new dosages of Strattera. Don't notice a difference.
There are numerous factors that could have stopped it from working today, so process of elimination. Will try removing factors tomorrow and see if it gets any better.
Side note:
Maintenance came by to replace my bathroom light, and I hid the fish tank behind a bunch of boxes lol
@ashleyspencer I don't doubt that, I just meant I wouldn't be able to do it myself. Partly I assume autistic inability to lie, partly trauma around how I've been treated by property owners.
@Cassandra It’s understandable. I’m lucky that no one ever comes in here from the office or maintenance, so the risk of them finding it is very very low. Especially since the office is rarely open.
My Ice Cubes mastodon app has an update where you can translate ALT text. I don’t know if that’s a new server feature, or if it’s just the app doing it. Couldn’t figure out how to do that on the web browser. Either way pretty neat!
Zero cashiers. Only self-checkout. My hands are shaking a lot from the heat and struggled to bag my small amount of groceries. Kept dropping everything.
Going in grocery stores: zero stars, do not recommend 👎
@ashleyspencer None of it is your responsibility. Heck I felt cheated that I had to put my credit card in the machine. That used to be the job of the workers too.
I got so mad at all these cold emails and 4 to 6 cold calls every day Monday through Friday. Yesterday I basically told them all to F off and stop emailing me. Today my phone has only rang once.
@ashleyspencer
This is why I rarely hand out my email address and have stopped answering my landline completely. I just let it go to answer machine, so at least it costs them the price of a phone call. 😀
@pathfinder I ordered a SIM card yesterday so I can change my number. My business email, number, and LinkedIn are in those stupid leads databases where businesses pay to get leads from. Learned that yesterday when someone emailed me through one of those databases.
The pharmacy’s automated system says my Strattera should be ready after 2:30pm. Hopefully it’s before then because if it gets too late I’ll have to go tomorrow morning when they open. Either way, tomorrow I’ll get to start the new dosages 2x a day. Day 7 of waiting.
The cats were both laying on the couch with me purring really loud like a chorus of purrs. Then I fed them and they’re like Bye!
Every day after 7am breakfast, Nikita sleeps on the top of her cat tree and Dinah goes to the blanket on the bed. I know where they are based on what time of day it is. They plan their days around meal times haha
@ashleyspencer The nitrogen cycle is ammonia (fish pee basically) -> nitrite -> nitrate. Ammonia and nitrite are both harmful to the fish, so you want them to be as low as possible. Nitrate isn't harmful, but it will encourage algae growth so you remove it with a water change once a week or so.
Basically - put the fish in, and test every day, and while you're still detecting ammonia or nitrite do a water change to dilute it. Eventually it'll drop to undetectable levels and your tank is cycled.
I’ve been watching these simplified YouTube videos and my autistic brain still felt confused after watching them. One said there’s no set amount of time your tank needs to cycle without fish, it just depends on when the levels are safe.
@ashleyspencer And then you seek help from a therapist who tells you you’re perfectly functional or too old to need help. Or try breathing exercises. 🙄
It’s kind of ironic when you are watching short videos about untreated ADHD and space out thinking about other things and miss most of the video because you have under-medicated ADHD lol
