Our new work on using to interpret variants observed in aged tissue is out! We present a software and statistical framework for analysing variants, and show how folding calculations can be used to classify types.

Developing uses for this in and prediction of clinical outcomes from genomic data!

Not what I wanted this morning.

Stern email from a copyright firm, claiming a photo in a 2009 blog post of mine is stolen from one of their clients.

I am 99.9% sure it is not (I took all the photos of the thing in question), but can I find EXIF data in those old files to prove itโ€ฆ? ๐Ÿค”

@jon never thought about it much, but the burden of proof (and amount of work) on you seems much higher than the evidence they need to send the complaint

Anyone else getting noticeably worse battery life with WatchOS 9.5 (including 9.5.1)? Iโ€™ve gone from like ~36 hours to under 24.
