To be fair he said it’s full of garbage people, not that all of you are garbage people. If my house had 2 garbage people in it I would be tempted to take the garbage out as that’s full for me.
As soon as child labor truly disappears, the workers pool is reduced and workers compensation must go up. Child labor only benefits the companies paying less.

Ford once made my company pay 100k usd for same day international air freight of about four pallets. The reason was a mistake of theirs, in the end I managed to recover the money but yeah, there’s companies out there that can an do spend crazy amounts of money to not stop a production line. Especially if it’s not their money.
Mexico will almost certainly have its first female president in 2024, after the governing Morena party and the opposition coalition both chose women as their candidates....
Right wing in mexico is not as extreme as the one in the US, though (even then I don’t like them), but what needs to be clear is that although the current party in position is very left (which is great) it’s not really progressive other than in labor areas. I don’t like sheinbaum specifically and I think morena could do better than her or the current president as it has shown from their legislative branch but politics in Mexico right now are very weird.
After this “fun” little catastrophe of a thread concerning the use of the word “female”, looking at the comment section, it’s painfully obvious that the majority of Lemmy’s userbase are men. That’s not a generalization, that’s a literal fact....
In spanish there’s mujer for woman and hembra for female (but only for animals and tools), their opposites are hombre for man and macho for male (this one can be used for humans but it’s despective nowadays).
To ask a persons sex you would use femenino (feminine) or masculino (masculine) where it doesn’t have anything to do with preference or gender roles as it does in english.
I live in Chihuahua, Mexico, where it usually means dry heat so pretty much anything works but it also means you can use a thing called swamp coolers that pretty much just increase humidity by humidifying air and shooting it quickly. They are incredibly efficient.
Sad part is when it gets humid (in monsoon times) it really doesn't sufice, so an AC is required or just remove as much clothing as possible.
Clothing does help a lot with dry heat, you can use thin fast-drying clothing and that helps evaporate sweat which takes away most heat. Again in humid heat you really can't cool unless you dehumidify with an AC (which is incredibly efficient the more humid the area is, and can be inverted to be used as heaters for much cheaper than gas or normal resistive electric heaters).
In the UK I think your best bet is a reversible heat pump.
It's needed urgently, I would love boost for reddit to follow as it's so good (although it's not open source sadly) because since Lemmur stopped being an option I had deleted my account here.
