Over on @aendra.com trained an LLM on screenshots of various social media interfaces and now has a ATProto labeler (https://atproto.com/specs/label) running at https://bsky.app/profile/xblock.aendra.dev that can block specific social media screenshots...

@irfan Yeah I think we were all fine with being on a cutting edge instance that was adding features, getting excited about it, playing around with them. And we were all pretty patient (maybe a bit too patient) about issues going on. A moment in time I guess. Glad I was there!

Good evening, Fedia.Social, I noticed there wasn't much use of Channels, so I created a new one - stop by and join in - what's your favorite tune right now?

What are channels
Consider them local groups where you can share interesting stuff. They are not federated, but they are visible to anyone with an account on the instance.

Any user on the local instance can create a channel.

You can follow channels, and anytime a post occurs in the group, it appears in your timeline.

You can boost, like, reply, etc. but I BELIEVE it stays in the local timelines. (Test please)

@jerry when I send a private message FROM fedia.social to my account on mastodon.social, it's not being received. It works in reverse (DM from M.S. to F.S. comes through)

It's going through to other mastodon servers, tho. What am I forgetting here. Hmm...now that I dig a bit deeper, M.S. doesn't seem to be accepting any of my *key account PMs (IceShrimp, Sharkey, Catodon, Misskey)?

Looked at blocks (user level and instance level) in case I had fiddled there. Nothing I can see.

I'm stumped. Probably something silly on my part.

The number of Misskey forks continues to expand. How do we mention them collectively? I'm veering toward Forkeys, as in "Catodon is the latest Forkey to enter the stage." or "The Forkeys have one thing in common - emoji reactions."

After looking at the changelog for , I have to say I applaud their direction. They are focusing on the basics, and it may not seem flashy or new, but it sets the foundation for a more stable environment. Things like improved API performance, caching, and OAUTH enhancements have been re-worked. Kudos to the team for sticking to the core components instead of throwing out the razzle dazzle
