@christianselig this is excellent, thanks for sharing. I’m a huge fan of my Goruck for most travel, but there’s room in my life for something slightly lighter/smaller/sleeker that’s still in the “travel bag” realm. I’ll be studying your list hard before my next trip.

@daringfireball I’m surprised at how different my experience is from yours. DDG consistently gives me better results than Google, but barely better. Kagi gives me different results than both—weird, sometimes interesting, but never better than either. I even used Bing for a long time for work recently, and it’s no worse than Google.

We might upgrade our phones every couple of years and our computers every few years, but our light switches?!? They oughta last longer. I have a few of these smart plugs, and I’ll be replacing them with a different brand in the hope of getting better support.
