@cs The reason I’ve heard for things like chess, where clearly gender doesn’t affect your ability, is that’s it’s a way to get women into something dominated by men. Some men suck and can ruin the experience for women, so women-only events help to get women in without them having to deal with that, but there’s nothing actually stopping women from competing against men. I’d assume it’s similar for darts.
Yesterday, UT Austin brought in Texas DPS cops in riot gear from 3 hours away to harass and arrest students peacefully protesting on their own campus. Just for reference, 6 months ago UT posted a video on YouTube explaining why anyone is allowed to come protest peacefully on campus. The video has since been unlisted and had its comments disabled.

Despite the platform not being known for its video content, CEO Linda Yaccarino has been clear on her visions of X as a “video first” platform, stating the X TV app was being built and would be coming “soon.”
