Oh great... As if it isn’t bad enough that I have to clear every single mention notification twice in Ivory (and there is no way to turn off the rest of the notifications)... now even going to each tab no longer clears them and I need to quit the app entirely to do so.

I think it's time I put all my computers away... in the trashcan.

Had a great lunch to end Joy’s birthday week at a neat little spot on the lake in Kenosha.

It’s still amazing to me how much more accessible the water is here than it was to us when we could walk to the Gulf in Florida.

I registered for @pluralistic 's book signing in Chicago on 17 Apr. It's pretty cool being in a city where I can do this. I have another signed hard cover of his last book but I had to do that one through the mail.

Of course I already bought the e-book for his latest so at least I'll be ready for it.

Now Chicago is talking about building not 1, but 2 new stadiums for the Bears and the White Sox at over $1 billion each. The Bears current stadium was refurbished not long ago so a new one isn't needed and the White Sox's current stadium is from the 90s but the owner wants an entertainment district around it he can personally profit from so he's demanding the tax payers build him a new one.

What a joke.

I'm back on @ivory after about an hour. Ivory would be the perfect app if I could hide general tabs on iPad and Mac (namely the notifications tab as I never, ever want to see any notification sans mentions) and if it had inline translations.

It's funny to me some of the folks that I listen on a regular rotation these days including Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. When I was younger I didn't really listen to any pop music but now I really appreciate some of these artists.

Am I missing something or do settings for Mona not actually sync between devices? To get anything to show up, even my mute list, I seem to have to do a full settings import with every minor change.

Today marks one month since my mom died. I’m still at my dad’s house helping him adjust. I’ll be here until the 21st. There are good and bad days yet but it does seem like things are getting a bit easier.
