I've been playing a ton of combat master.

F2p with no bs, I love it, and it has a proper Linux client, it even runs natively on Wayland for me.

I'm under the impression that it automatically runs as a lan if everyone in the custom game is on the same network.

There's no way to detect if art is AI other than guesswork/inference/hands.

It's necessary because the website is transparent, if you were to federate with an instance, you'd need this information in order to moderate your instance, in order to check for bots, and various other things, that's the only reason it exists.

Really, what it should come down to as an individual is that all of the x11 devs left to work on Wayland because x11 is unmaintainable.

Use Wayland if it works for you, if you find something that doesn't work, go back to x11 and find the issue tracker and switch back if you care for the benefits later.

The benefits:

1. A better security model
2. More efficient rendering
3. Better animations
4. Better support for multi displays (mixed refresh rate/dpi)
5. HDR (soon)
6. Better color management (soon)

The only problems I have currently is sway doesn't support single window capture and the XWayland clipboard isn't great.

I would say unfortunately in this situation you're just going to have to accept some performance issues.

I often fix this by copy/pasting my post after refreshing.

They federate, in that they communicate with eachother, but this app wouldn't allow you to login on a kbin instance, it'd only allow you to login on a lemmy instance.

To make it do both would unfortunately probably mean a complete duplication of effort, but i'm not sure of that.
