We're back to my recurring nightmare of making it easy for a non-technical client to edit a static website generated using .

Are there any good solutions? Or am I going to end up writing my own solution after many painful hours with other people's janky solutions?

If you know of a non-technical user successfully editing a static website, how are they doing it?

EDIT: I'll only use open source solutions I can self-host, but happy to hear about proprietary options.

Yet another data-breach letter, except this one is from a company that I have no recollection of doing business with and references a second company that's also new to me--I had to check a footnote to see that this involves an insurance company that is changing its name.

Still unclear to me: Why would any insurance company need to store my SSN, much less apparently store it unencrypted, after issuing the goddamn policy?

The other data-breach question I have: Since everybody with an infosec pulse has known for the last decade that encrypting sensitive data at rest is an effective way to limit the damage of a data breach, why shouldn't the FTC or some other regulator be able to shoot a data-breached company into the metaphorical sun for not doing that today?

The APOD (on here as @APoD) is 28 years old today. 28 years old! A fixture of my daily online routine has been around for over a quarter-century.

A real โ€œhow it started / how it's going" for APOD!

An enhanced-color image of Pluto assembled from data collected by the New Horizons flyby in 2015. The lower left corner is a brownish-red, while the lower right corner is smooth and light beige, dominated by a heart-shaped region. The "northern" third of the planet is mostly while with light tan and orange patches, along with several craters.
