okay so here’s a dumb bgp question. suppose the following:

  • you are doing an anycast advertisement of a prefix A, from say america and europe
  • someone else is doing the same with prefix B being anycasted, also from america and europe

if you send a request from america A to america B, there is a chance that return packets will get routed from america B to europe A, right?

I'm not really sure how I should communicate this concept to someone. I could explain it in plain English, but it's honestly really ambiguous and that make things muddled more than they already are.

On the other hand, I could explain using a linked list, but they're not really a technical person and I'm not sure how well they would receive it.

Can someone help me weigh the prose and cons?
