In mathstodon.xyz we are not free to talk about "b1tc01n". It flags and deletes.

This Nazi mentality is making me not being an active Mastodon user. From now on.

I find no wrong talking about this subject and mathstodon.xyz disagrees. I cannot tolerate this sysadmin dictatorship posture.

I am more inclined to quit Mastodon and use IRC and Usenet, than to look for another Mastodon instance. Such a quiet place it was....

dani,

@matt Yes. It is shady.

dani,

@ColinTheMathmo Thank you. I don't see that as a justification.

People can complain about anything, but I don't see complaining as a reason for this removal.

Cryptocurrencies conversations is today a more than normal complicated topic. I like cryptocurrencies not because of market prices fluctuations, but because they are peer-to-peer currencies. The fact that people associated gaining value to cryptocurrencies is missing the target.

So, I am not shilling. I don't want people to buy cryptocurrencies. I want everyone to use cryptocurrencies because is a peer-to-peer coin.

People should look cryptocurrencies on the peer-to-peer nature. The fact that you are blocking this type of conversation, only shows how the gaining value discourse has affected you cryptocurrencies views.

When people complain about cryptocurrencies post, is a chance to show them that cryptocurrencies are not about value but about it's peer-to-peer nature and global reach.

dani,

@ColinTheMathmo and yes, the topic was not about bitcoin. It was about Europe buying massive computers.

It relates to bitcoin because the only bad thing that people can say about bitcoin, is it consumes a lot of energy.

But when Europe buys massive computers that will consume a lot of energy, no one complains. It was this fact that I was alerting to.

The hypocrisy of people in politics.

We don't need more massive computers or more massive computer centers.

We do need a global people's coin, that is decentralized and distributed.

dani,

@ColinTheMathmo @christianp let's not create more friction about ourselves.

I explained my point, you explained yours.

I believe this will make me quit, or Mastodon, or mathstodon.xyz . I will see.

Either way, was nice, until this.

dani,

@ColinTheMathmo I really liked that you let me entry (and speak!) at that Maths event online, for free. It made me very well, for my mental health, that gathering 😀

Scheme is not Lisp. Bite me.

dani,

@rml @ramin_hal9001 @louis @amszmidt
MIT-Scheme has a disk-save (or save-disk) function. It is similar to save-lisp-and-die . disk-save doesn't "die", like save-lisp-and-die.

I am still new to Lisp

What are your top three favourite apps on ? And why?
Thank you for sharing.

dani,

@apps

  1. Tusky
  2. Conversations
  3. Ask me Anything Meaningful

For the stupid who say Protonmail or Signal and such, these are NOT on F-Droid. Your welcome.

dani,

@DandyTriangle7569 @apps
Why?

Because ProtonMail and Signal did not made their apps available on F-Droid.

It is not F-Droid fault.

The companies are free to publish their apps code on F-Droid. They choose not too (maybe because per companies have code that per don't want to be visible to the public and audited).

Per companies probably would not like the rating that F-Droid will give them (for all of us to see the dirt).

dani,

@RL_Dane @DandyTriangle7569 @apps
I use F-Droid because I want freedom.

Those repos bring freedom-depriving apps. Same as Google Play Store.
