dbx12,

Damn, bought it back when only credit card was an option and it was $12 or something like that.

dbx12,

And properly discard of the tick so it cannot come back. Suggested methods are submersing it in strong alcohol, pulverizing it between hard surfaces or simply lighting the fucker on fire. The guide I’ve read spoke especially against stepping on them because the ground is uneven and your shoe soft enough to give them a chance to survive. Oh and flushing them down the toilet also gives them a good survival probability.

I prefer the fire approach, fuck those little bastards and diseases they carry. No one survives getting their ass heated to over a thousand degrees Celsius.

dbx12,

But who determines its lifespan?

The RTC battery, obviously.

dbx12,

my king?!?

Guards! Take her away to the dungeons, for she has addressed her majesty improperly.

dbx12,

uninstalls essential package

Why is my system broken? :O

dbx12,

You wouldn’t enjoy regular sand either. It’s coarse and rough and gets everywhere.

dbx12,

You both are wrong! I wrote my own distro with opinionated modifications and it is superior to both of your distros!

dbx12,

You have probably heard it a lot already, but use an ad blocker. I can recommend Firefox + ublock Origin, even on Mobile

dbx12,

How couldn’t he notice the weird way he needs to hold the spray?

“Hmm, can’t put my thumb on the button because there is a ridge and the thumb-sized notch is on the opposite side. Hmm… I know, I just use my index finger!”

dbx12,

So they need a label “this side towards enemy” like on a claymore xD

Use a standard Webserver like nginx and enable access protection with username + password. For that you can use your favorite web hoster.

You can specify the credentials like this in sources.list format: deb https://user:password@your-server.tld

Can I learn android development in a non-javscript IDE? DAE find electron/javascript IDEs confusing?

Does anyone else find javascript/electron-based code editors confusing? I can never understand the organization/hierarchies of menus, buttons, windows, tabs. All my time is spent hunting through the interface. My kingdom for a normal dialogue box!...

dbx12,

Since some folks already suggested Android studio, I want to throw the “new UI” vs “old UI” on JetBrains products into the ring. I’m not sure if it already arrived in Android studio s well, but the new UI sucks in a similar vscode sucks, so maybe that (turning off new UI) is an angle you can investigate.

dbx12,

In general, I try to stick to ThinkPads. They come with a bit of a price, but well worth in my experience.

dbx12,

It’s a bit dated already, but still going strong for my workload: theT530

dbx12,

Thanks to Spider-Man: Far from home, I knew of the glass floor decks :D

(And it was just plausible enough to be not ruled out as “the glass is just in the movie so it can shatter”)

dbx12,

Nice how one guy was described as “rather good looking” on the wanted poster

dbx12,

Hol’ up, you’ve got one in the center?

dbx12,

Ah, Gas driven. I thought about an electric one.

Looks like your php code is wrong, try this (and just this) for index.php

<span style="color:#323232;"><?php
</span><span style="color:#323232;">phpinfo();
</span>

You also had Test Text1 inside the php block which is a syntax error. Maybe that’s the cause why you don’t get anything.

Edit corrected the filename to lowercase extension.

dbx12,

Great that it worked out, did you use apt remove or apt purge?

You might want to put your code in triple back ticks so it renders as code block :) Currently isn’t visible on some clients (boost for Lemmy in my case)

dbx12,

Masks don’t only protect from airborne viruses…

dbx12,

Not an answer, but I have to say you have a way with words.

dbx12,

Oh, that makes warnings errors and does not mean “ignore errors”. I’m not too familiar with compiler flags. You could do some mental gymnastics to argue that the unused variable causes the compiler to exit and thus the code is not functioning and thus the unused variable is not a warning but an error :^)
