you ever think about how humans are totally blind to the color alpha but haven't questioned why we reserve a color channel for it anyway

@aeva I can't even distinguish red and green, yet I am still forced to waste two channels for these useless colors. Why would I question alpha? 🤔

20 years ago today, Microsoft announced XNA Game Studio, a free set of tools for game development, worked on Windows, Xbox 360 and Windows Phone. This tool helped thousands of devs getting started, including well know companies today. today would be very different without it.

I saw another person take issue with the term "software engineering" and I think that's fine, but I think we should all call ourselves "computer scientists" instead, because imo that's even more offensive

Imo both terms are totally fine :P Though I agree that "software engineer" probably sounds more hacky and code-monkey-ish than "computer scientist".

I know I am "only" using a 12Gb 3060 card but I find it a little weird that Larian recommends Vulcan for NVIDIA cards when everywhere else I see NVIDIA still works best with DirectX and AMD / Intel cards work best with Vulcan. Even in articles directly referencing this game.

On top of that I get screen tearing when scrolling (AWSD) thru the map on Vulcan which I don't get on DirectX.

@WhyNotZoidberg Didn't have any performance issues with Vulkan, but frequent crashes. No crashes at all with DX11. (3060 ti)

    Reminder: I love using Fork as a visual Git tool. Simple, efficient, and with a fair business model (you pay for it, simple as that). Couldn't recommend it more. Much admiration for the developers.
