I am having some family members visit my place for the first time since I moved in and I’m pretty excited. It’s a small thing, but yeah. I have a tendency to work most weekends because I don’t have a social life so it’s a nice change of pace. Do any of you get to do anything fun? Hooe your Friday goes well!
Whenever I come across a song with specifically rapidly switching and ping ponging or warbling right/left effects, I get chills. But it’s hard to find exactly what I mean....
Yeah “wefwef” was unique and easily searchable. “Voyager”, not so much. Using a common word for an app is not really a great move if you want users to easily find your product. Still, I love the app and what the dev has done! Unfortunately though since I got a new phone since wefwef’s inception, I no longer have the original pwa or logo on my phone!
My PWA version was broken with the way the back button worked anyway though so I suppose it’s for the best. I use the APK version now.
Nope, I could still smell and taste, although it was perhaps slightly diminished. I wish I would have lost my sense of taste briefly because the cough medicine I was taking tasted absolutely disgusting.
Maybe not totally related, but I think my sense of smell has always been not as great as other people, even before COVID. People will sometimes complain about a specific smell and I don’t always notice it.
Jerboa went though a period time relatively early on in it’s development when it was a buggy, nearly unusable mess. It started out cool, then it shit the bed, and now I guess it’s cool again lol.
Unfortunately I didn’t wait for it to get good again at the time and I ended up switching to wefwef, which has now been renamed Voyager. Voyager never really went though a buggy period on my end as an Android user.
Yeah, I had to read this meme several times over to figure out what it was saying. Smart Shuffle just randomly turns on for people? I’ve literally never had that happen. It only turns on when I turn it on.

That last bit gives me a ton of anxiety just thinking about it. Do you map out where you can run before you go to a new place? How do you just like run on the sidewalk if it ends up congested with too many people? Do you only run in nearby parks?
Sorry if these are weird questions! I legitimately want to know!
It’s definitely hard to miss all the people where I live pulling out of driveways in dresses and people taking pictures across all the public areas, it really lets you know it’s prom time....
As a socially anxious loner, I didn’t go to prom. Didn’t end up feeling much like I was missing out either. I had been to a few school dances in the past and they always made me very uncomfortable and I didn’t find them fun. I didn’t like how much of a big deal they were made out to be. The one time I had fun around a school dance was when I was hanging out with some people either beforehand or afterwards (can’t remember which) and that part of it was fun. The dance itself wasn’t.
I have always called a light top with a full zipper to be a jacket, however the people I’m surrounded by insist on calling it a sweatshirt. I’m prepared to be wrong, just wondering if I’m the only one.
OP went nuts in the comments of the original. I can’t remember the details, but they were saying things about how they were incredibly offended and wanted to DNA test their son for not being thankful for the gift. And some rambling tirades about the grandmother or something. It was very bizarre.
In the internet age, it’s incredibly easy to look up personal information about people like their address. Sorry, but you likely are easily searchable just like the rest of us.

To be a bit pedantic, a lot of millennial fashion in pants are more skin tight (think skinny jeans), whereas gen z fashion in pants are often more baggier. There is overlap, sure. But gen z seem to gravitate away from skinny jeans.
Personally, I’m just happy that higher waisted pants have gotten more popular throughout the years. Low rise pants only seem to flatter the skinniest, most toned people. I say this as a not overweight person too. Higher waisted pants are just more flattering on everyone, no matter the body type!
Edit: Lol why am I being downvoted? I didn’t say either of the styles I described in the first paragraph were bad!
What do you do personally to find happiness in your everyday life?
I know the question is a bit vague, but I’m hoping people will interpret this however they see fit an give their own experiences....
Happy Friday!! Are any of you doing anything fun this weekend??

Happy Friday, Lemmy. What are your plans for the weekend?
This weekend I aim to relax as much as my children will let me. But my younger daughter turns one on Sunday. So, we’ll likely celebrate that.
