Always have a live iso for this cases.
1.- Run the live and mount your system partitions in p.e /mnt
2.- mount the pseudofilesystems

for i in sys dev proc; do $(mount --rbind /$i /mnt/$i && mount --make-rslave /mnt/$i); done

3.- Use chroot to get into your system
chroot /mnt /bin/bash
4.- Fix your system

@ebooksyearn I’m reminded of the time I went to a Padres game when I lived in San Diego. We took the trolley but when I got home & texted the friend who drive, he was close to the parking lot exit.
