Teamkollege hat sich die einzigen zu einem Fachthema im als Print-on-Demand bestellt. Was ankam, war nicht nur verschnitten, litt an ausgewaschenem Druckbild und entbehrte jeglicher Gliederung, nein, die Texte waren auch 100% -Erzeugt und völlig inhaltsleerer .

Angeblich habe der Autor „Rob Botwright“ (🤔) in einem halben Jahr 80 Bücher von Pascal-Programmierung über IT-Sicherheit bis Stringtheorie bei „Pastor Publishing Ltd.“ veröffentlicht.

@dec_hl Die Besonderheit bei Unobtanium ist, dass es in der Scifi-Literatur tatsächlich als Name für Wunder-Elemente (Erze) verwendet wird. Da gibt es nichts analoges im Deutschen. Vom Klang her finde ich darum den Vorschlag „Rarium“ treffend, denn es klingt wirklich nach Nomenklatur und nicht bloß eingedeutscht. Auch wenn der Rest richtig lustig ist. 😃

@LeTak @risk @kuketzblog Influenza hatte ich bisher nur einmal zum Glück. 😉

Aber viele sinnvolle Projekte sind abgeriegelt, indem alle Kommunikation und Dokumentation auf Discord stattfindet. Dort kann man ohne Login nicht mal mitlesen. Und ob du dich einloggen darfst (VPN, Scriptblocker, etc.), entscheidet allein diese Firma.

Ich durfte mich beim letzten Versuch nicht einloggen, und konnte so nicht zum Projekt beitragen.

My 2013 iMac has been unstable for the last couple of years. Not terribly so, but after going to sleep it sometimes didn't wake again. But now even with sleep disabled it freezes after a couple of hours. First I want to make sure it isn't the RAM, and nice enough: memtest+ works just fine on the x86 iMacs!

    @b0rk Is it possible to orphan old commits deliberately? Say someone accidentally committed a huge binary, then removed it in a later commit, but every such accident remains in the repo and eats memory, right?

    @root42 @nina_kali_nina „Lots of manual work“ is when you sit in front of 4 different 386 machines for 30h and don‘t find the problems, while they shredder your DOS install floppies, until you finally give up, send most boards to a friend who is a genius fixer, he then wastes more time, also doesn‘t find the problems except for 1 and declares the rest „mysteriously dead“ 😕

    So let‘s design a damn winding machine and release it as open source …

    Die Erläuterung der Wikipedia für Personen mit Berührungsängsten ist grundsätzlich mal wichtig. ☺️

    Aber bitte den Begriff Relevanz nicht falsch verstehen: Millionen wurden im und um den 2. WK ermordet. Obwohl jede/r als Mensch relevant, benötigt nicht jede Person einen eigenen Lexikonartikel. Dafür gibt es Sammelartikel (Listen) oder dedizierte Projekte. Gute Artikel sind viel Arbeit.

    The PET survived the cleaning. However I think the dust from the factory was slightly corrosive. The solder mask is somewhat matte and very much not shiny. The dark spots are where I applied deoxit to the sockets.

    @root42 I‘ve had had the same situation in my PS/2, happened on PCBs that were located next to a case opening. My guess (at least here) is a fungus that grows in dust and corroded the solder mask so it looks like a white veil. What do you think?
